turns out some people on Reddit are open minded after all. This specific sub Reddit does not show up and down votes I think so have half fixed the echo chamber effect

There's no such thing as cisgender. This is an offensive term.

Mother only accurately applies to women.

Mothers a no no, to be in the cult they should be referring to themselves as Offspring Bearer, or Human that Gave Birth to Child, not mother.
They sound like a very fair weather cult member, off with their head. 😂

Is eliminationism supposed to be a real word? I don’t think so….

AntiRacistFella · Today 00:54

Maybe a little research might have helped you there.

The belief or policy that a group of people perceived as enemies should be expelled or eradicated.

Have any of you even had a negative experience with a trans woman in the loo?

I don't want either negative or positive experiences with men when i'm in the loo thanks. No experiences with men in the ladies is my preference and my right.

Useful to have a definition, thank you.

It serves to underline the fact that we don't perceive this subset of men as "enemies". We simply don't want men in women's spaces, services and sports.

Just use the gents, gents.

Charli I’m glad you’re on here. Always good to keep an open mind and listen to others. You don’t seem very open minded though. You seem to have decided you are the ‘good’ person and anyone who is not on script with TRA is evil and wrong. Your repeated incredulity that we can’t be real mothers is also very odd - bit misogynistic to conflate being a mum with being passive and ‘kind’ (let anyone walk all over your rights without complaint).

You sound naive. This thread isn’t a great example of the battle women are having online to protest against the TRA determination to push their agenda in a way that attempts to silence and punish women.

It is odd that such a small group of people cause such a huge amount of debate but the women on here are smart enough to recognise the threat to unquestioned acceptance of that agenda.

Do you think men should be able to compete in women’s sports? Do you think minors should be given hormones and surgery? Do you think male sex offenders should be allowed in women’s prisons? Do you think humans can change sex? Do you think people should be punished for not agreeing that humans can change sex?

I do know a couple of transwomen and a transman. We get along fine. I don’t personally like either of the transwomen as they are both selfish and self absorbed and demanding and unstable people but I’m sure some transwomen are lovely. There have always been trans people and always will be and good luck to them but just like everyone else they have to fit their rights in with everyone else’s.

Igmum · Today 06:49

Asking gents to use the gents is hardly eliminationism. The hyperbole surrounding any deviation from absolute obedience to the cult is spectacularly unhelpful both to trans people’s mental health and (judging by the number of deletions on here) your own. People disagreeing is a sign of a healthy society.

I’ll have to take your word for it because all I have seen here is wall to wall hatred and trans eliminationism.
The only real argument I have seen in these boards on trans people is whether they should be

  1. Segregated
  2. Driven from society
  3. Forcibly detransitioned
  4. Eradicated

I mean I knew when I came here that your were very right wing in matters of inclusion and diversity. But honestly, I am appalled!

Are you even mothers here? This sounds more like 4Chan. Have any of you even had a negative experience with a trans woman in the loo? A real one I mean, not a made up one. Because I never have and I’m in my 50s and I’ve seen them occasionally, throughout my life. If anything, the ones I’ve noticed just get in, do their business and get out. They have never even spoken in there unless spoken to, so I REALLY don’t get the rage.
Nobody even cared about this until 2023.
What have they done to make to hate them so viscerally?
i remember in 2010 the government telling gay and trans folks “come out. Live your true authentic lives. You are safe with us”. Fiend out THAT was a lie wasn’t it?

Edited

Its a matter of interpretation, surely?

People on here (mostly) want women to be able to have spaces away from men. You call that "segregation" because you believe some men are women and its wong to segregate the male women from other women. People on here think all men are men, so its perfectly reasonable to allow women spaces away from all of them.

If TIM are not permitted to access womens spaces, some claim they will not be able to go out, play sports etc. You call "driven from society" people on here would point out that TIM can fully participate in society, provided they use unisex spaces or those designed for their sex. And given that most aspects of society are unisex by default, there would be very limited restriction anyway.

People on here are concerned about the transition of children, particularly medical transition and want this stopped. You call this "detransition". People on here call it protecting children from irreversible bodily modifications at an age too young to give fully informed consent. I have never once seen any poster on here argue that anyine should be forced to "detransition".

People on here are (mostly) fully accepting there are people who wish to live in accordance with the stereotypes of the opposite sex and have no wish to prevent them.
Most are GC which means being opposed to forcing people to conform to sex based stereotypes. So there would be no wish to "eradicate" people who do this.
However, people on here are mostly sex realist, and so don't accept that living in accordance with opposite sex stereotypes makes one that sex. This means that where sex matters, they will not support a person who claims to be the opposite sex to access spaces for their preferred sex. This is not "eradicating" them as people, but simply protecting single sex provisions.
