I know that mn doesn't work this way, but given that there have recently been 3 threads basically saying 'what's all the fuss about tg' , expecting posters to engage and rehash all the posts that have been gone over already, it would be great if could have FAQ pinned at the top.
Starting with 'Why do you all hate tw?'

It was a thread on another board linking to a survey about toxicity in children’s clothes. The student who posted it got some flak from women about her “gender” question wording. She then posted on Reddit asking if that was normal for MN. You can imagine the responses. That didn’t go down well here.

It wasn’t a FWR post but a FWR thread was set up to talk about the Reddit conversation - this was later deleted.

<flashbacks to the man who was horrified we weren't all talking about prams and that women actually discussed things like.... politics.... and to the man who tried hard to insist that women on FWR were all TiFs in denial, because proper women did the naiceness and the coddly coddly mummy stuff>

Well yeah, but surely the aim is to safeguard women and girls is it not?

I do actually think this was part of the problem. Her supervisor had suggested posting her survey on mumsnet, and I think the student hasn’t known what she was signing up to.

Nah! This is a knock down drag out fight for women's recognition in order to safeguard women and girls.

There certainly seems to be an inordinate amount of drag involved.
