Are the hormones that transgender females encouraged to change / reduce the same as the ones middle aged women are encouraged to increase to prevent bone damage and dementia ?

That's another medical team used since... oh my, almost 100 years ago. Way before 'trans' as a term made it's way into medicine.

But that's mumsnet, offended by medicine.

“Cis” is not a medical term at all. Lots of fake info from this poster with the tellingly disingenuous tone.

Yes. AidaP is a trans identifying male into kink.

I-had-a-P.....think about it....

Oh. The name Aida spelled with the extra i always made me think of that revolting drag queen Aida H Dee (who apparently started drag story time in the UK)

I like your explanation though.

Yes, I wish a journalist would ask one of these trans identifying female WHY they are competing in the female category.

Surely to be their ‘true selves’ they need to be in the male category? or do they need less validation than the trans identifying males?

I wonder if it helps that female olympic athletes are steely eyed warriors and not the gender stereotype floppy floppy, skirt spinny, long nail types that trans identifying men prefer.

I wonder will a replacement buck-eejit get drafted in?

"Drafted in" 😁
People really do think on here that anyone who doesn't tow the line in here thoughts wise must all know each other, be each others mates, be working on some little production line tap tapping away with each other or something, don't they?!
The conspiracy theories that keep on giving.

popery · 27/03/2026 23:24

If 'man' refers to people regardless of their sex, who have a particular inner identity, why is anyone even encouraged to take hormones?

Anyone doing so is demonstrating how strongly they believe that being a man is defined by having a male body and not who they are inside.

Are you OK Sugar? Maybe time for a camomile tea?

A little bit of research will show that there are a surprising number of men and women with a quaint obsession about Mumsnet including this board. Some of them even arrive to mansplain feminism, women's bodies, politics and (most tediously) talk about themselves. it's quite a thing round here. 🙄

They sure do, Sugar! Sounds like you've got quite a conspiracy theory going on yourself judging by your comments on here!
