This is horrific. In front of children and possible assault victims. Who in their right mind finds this funny?

What the hell?

Helleofabore · 18/03/2026 12:09

I am not sure there is any way that float can be considered appropriate. What the fuck we they thinking ?

MassiveWordSalad · 18/03/2026 12:12

For fuck’s sake 😡

Cocolapew · 18/03/2026 12:12

It would have had to be approved by the organisers/council as well surely?

likelysuspect · 18/03/2026 12:13

Jesus, I thought it would be a misunderstanding, that is horrific. Are they insane?

WellOodelally · 18/03/2026 12:15

How completely repulsive. Men really do hate women don’t they? Guess there’s nothing funnier than widespread abuse of women and children as well… or is that where they draw the line? 🤔

I can’t see how that could have been appoved! I doubt it was.
I’m Irish and really mortified by this. It’s absolutely appalling.

FemaleAndLearning · 18/03/2026 12:27

This is appalling. They are chasing a victim down and simulating raping another on the float whilst handing sweets out to the children. Heads should roll for this.

maysayyea · 18/03/2026 12:28

That is absolutely disgraceful

Helleofabore · 18/03/2026 12:45

The chasing around as part of the float, in this context, was bad enough. The simulated rape on trailer of the truck was horrifying.

I didn’t see them handing out sweets. That is fucked up. Put altogether it can be considered grooming. I would expect that is not the intention, but it is arguably one outcome.

BendoftheBeginning · 18/03/2026 12:54

Is this reported anywhere? I’ve not been on X for ages.

ginasevern · 18/03/2026 13:26

Fucking hell. This has left me speechless. I mean, this is real right? Not AI generated or something.

Nonmaleficient · 18/03/2026 13:38

That is beyond cruel and inappropriate. I don’t have words to describe how disgusting the people are who participated in this!

Lifelover16 · 18/03/2026 13:41

Is it real?
if so it’s horrific

lcakethereforeIam · 18/03/2026 13:46

Wtf!

wishingonastar101 · 18/03/2026 14:03

The people involved need to be found and arrested.

MyCrushWithEyeliner · 18/03/2026 14:05

Fucking disgusting

That person laughing loudly in the background 🤢

lcakethereforeIam · 18/03/2026 14:08

Do you remember the tw complaining about men crossdressing for a carnival in his village? Iirc copious apologies were immediately forthcoming and the organisers said it was unauthorised, they must have tagged onto the end. This is so, so much worse.

Eta. Crosspost. Unauthorised eh!? Been seen at other carnivals eh! 🤔

FranticFrankie · 18/03/2026 14:11

Whoever thought this was a good idea needs their hard drive checking
Not funny in the slightest and totally inappropriate 🤬

Arran2024 · 18/03/2026 14:20

Did none of those men at any point think "maybe this isn't such a good idea?"

Abhannmor · 18/03/2026 14:24

Heads surely will roll. These planks might not understand how insulting to Epsteins victims this would look. But rural Ireland cares deeply about ' the neighbours'. Spectacular one goal there

lcakethereforeIam · 18/03/2026 14:24

I think this is a thread about the 'transphobic' float (there may have been others)

Devon carnival forced to apologise for unofficial float | Mumsnet https://share.google/cfOUwzQ8MyPtxBrnr

The share token has expired so I've not been able to read the article.

There's arguments to be made about men in drag being offensive but, I don't believe there's any argument that rape is amusing. I think the people who devised this thought they were mocking the men. The feelings, the reality of the women who were raped, or the women who were watching? Well that probably never crossed their minds.

DeanElderberry · 18/03/2026 14:26

It was used in three different parades, got objected to in each, kept going regardless.

Something badly, badly wrong with the men involved.
