“My removal from the international women’s day event by the police.

I had been asking women’s organisations whether their services were for women only. This caused alarm and distress and the venue, claimed to be privately owned when it’s owned by the council, asked me to leave for asking questions.

I have footage of every interaction that I will upload later so you can see what those questions were and you can judge for yourself.”

I can argue with that point actually.

If by 'all of us', you mean that you believe that some male people are 'women', then no, I don't agree with that premise. Are you a male person who describes themselves as a woman? Is that what you mean by 'us'?

He is indeed a male person but by way of variety is a German instead of the usual Yanks or Aussies who come plopping.

MissScarletInTheBedroom · 09/03/2026 13:59

Greyskybluesky · 09/03/2026 13:51

More loaded framing.

Do you think we can't see it?

How do you say "loaded framing" in your country?

There's a lot you don't see or, rather, a lot you misunderstand.

Please provide specific, provable, examples of my statement - the one you quoted - being wrong.

I referenced a Jezebel article earlier that called MN "a toxic breeding ground for transphobia" and they are far from alone. That MN has a reputation across the internet is simply a reaction by reasonable people to the unreasonableness of many - not all at all, just many - posters here who are disproportionately noisy in their aggressive stance.
What is a problem is that that taints all of MN and, ironically, makes people less likely to support women's rights.

I am not male.

And I would ask what is the problem with me being German, but since you also used the term 'Yanks' it is pretty clear your attitude to anyone who is not British is unlikely to be a nice one.

Edited to add: which, right on topic, only highlights the very MN swing to the right that I was talking about earlier!

But why is it wrong to say "you need to speak to my colleague Karen....she's the morbidly obese one in the corner."? We're told hurty feelz are apparently not a factor when discussing biological reality.

Again, you are attempting to make two asymmetrical scenarios symmetrical. Your scenario has nothing to do with KJK being removed from this event.

What point are you trying to make in relation to KJK being removed from this event?

Helleofabore · 09/03/2026 14:03

MissScarletInTheBedroom · 09/03/2026 13:49

All women - all of us - have a right to spaces without men. I don't think even you could argue with that point...

Getting back to this question.

Do you believe that female people should have single sex provisions that exclude all male people? Do you believe that it is transphobic to want female people to have those female single sex provisions?

MaIeficent · 09/03/2026 14:03

Ive always been a Terf but now bigot and transphobe are now badges of honour and not slurs that could get you hounded out of the NHS or whatever company were captured by Stonewall you worked for - God it’s so liberating but actually hilarious looking back at how politicians and MSM and sports etc were so captured by this utter utter nonsense! And now we still have work to do as highlighted by kJK on IWD.

Okay, I'll play along. Examples of your loaded statements:

"when do you think MN started to be captured by anti-trans ideology"
"So if MN is an organisation that simply swings in whatever direction the wind is blowing, is that why it allows increasingly aggressive and divisive ideologies to flourish on its boards"
"MN is [...] going along with the general rise of the political right-wing"
"very vocal sections of this board are aggressively anti-trans and anti-Green"

Does that help?

Are you new here? Because we really do not care what "reputation" MN has a across the internet!! 😂It's not school!

And the fact you quoted Jezebel as a meaningful source rather proves that you are out of touch.

Loaded framing, so let's fix your question together before we answer:

Do you believe that women should have exclusive provisions that exclude men?
Yes, obviously.

Do you believe that it is transphobic to want women to have those provisions?
No, obviously.

Helleofabore · 09/03/2026 14:08

MaIeficent · 09/03/2026 14:03

Are you not able to answer the question?

What is the relevance of an employment policy issue to do with women being removed from an International Women's Day event for asking questions?

It is an employment policy issue and what is the reason is someone referring to a person as being 'morbidly obese'? Is there a specific reason that person is referring to the person as being morbidly obese?

You are trying to use an irrelevant scenario on a thread about women being removed for asking questions of organisational representatives at an International Women's Day event.

Stop talking women! Stop voicing your opinions loudly! People won't like you if you do!

MaIeficent · 09/03/2026 14:09

KJK's point is presumably the biological reality that TW aren't women. She no doubt feels we shouldn't have to deny biological reality. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Pretending a morbidly obese person isn't morbidly obese is the same. I won't let such a person get into my expensive car with £2000 sports seats. Many on here think that's outrageous as has been proven by many previous threads about overweight friends breaking expensive furniture etc because nobody wants to mention the elephant in the room (pardon the pun).

Now that is really funny!
It's the quickest bit of appropriation I've ever seen!

No. The framing is just fine thank you and it is entirely relevant to the topic of this thread.

Anyway, great. You believe that female people should be able to exclude all male people from female single sex provisions, including sport.

Great that we got that sorted.

Therefore, would you now like to report any transphobia that you find on MN since we are apparently a toxic site for it. The moderation team are professional so please, report away.

I got it a long time ago. It's clear why you're here, and it's not to support women's rights.

The problem with doing what you're doing is that that taints all trans people and, ironically, makes people less likely to support trans rights.

"You believe that female people should be able to exclude all male people from female single sex provisions, including sport."

That statement is not correct. You inferred it because it's either what you think was said due to natural dimness or are trying to claim what was said due to natural duplicity.

What was it you said on the other thread about ad hominem attacks? 🤔

Oh yes, found it: "Have you considered discussing the message, rather than unthinkingly attack the messenger? I think it might help promote a healthier discussion."

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 09/03/2026 14:23

‘Obviously’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Oh. I see. You cannot answer the direct and very clear question and add Ad Hominem attacks to go with it.

I recommend though, that you report any transphobia that you see on MN. It will get deleted by the team if they, as people trained in moderation, believe it fits the description of transphobia. If it doesn't get deleted, then perhaps you have accept that you might have a personal definition of transphobia that is not considered reasonable.

Again, incorrect.

You made a false statement in which you clumsily invented an intention of mine which never existed. I called you out on it. The end.

But you are right to highlight the reporting of transphobic posts; thank you.

Edited to add: which, right on topic, only highlights the very MN swing to the right that I was talking about earlier!

Edited

More misunderstandings.

The poster did not say there was a problem you being German, she said you are German, i.e. stating a fact, neutrally.

"Yanks" is a term that British people use to refer to Americans, it's years old and it's not insulting, in fact it's more affectionate if anything. I note you didn't pick up on the term "Aussies".

You portray these two things as "highlights the very MN swing to the right".
Nice try.
But wrong.
You see what you want to see.

Oh really? So you don't consider that 'woman' is the unique word that means a mature person with a body formed around the production of large gametes, even if their body does not produce those large gametes?

Language really is important, isn't it? To avoid confusion such as this.
