Pink News survey on the impact of the Supreme Court judgement, one year on

OhBuggerandArse · 02/03/2026 20:24

The very helpful Nick Wallis has drawn our attention to the following survey which has just opened. x.com/nickwallis/status/2028543149765689464

I'm sure the good people at Pink News are very eager to hear from a diverse range of respondents; they have obligingly included enough free text boxes to make it possible to share detailed and thoughtful comments.

Oh that was fun, thank you!

Rhaidimiddim · 02/03/2026 20:35

Done 😆

IwantToRetire · 02/03/2026 20:41

I see it is actually called:

For Women Scotland Ltd v The Scottish Ministers: One Year On

In all honesty because of the stupid use of cis throughout, I put in so many WTF are talking about that I suspect my contribution will be binned!

"I do not have a gender history"

PanickyBill · 02/03/2026 20:50

I enjoyed that!

ThatBlackCat · 02/03/2026 20:51

Done! And I hope they enjoyed it. 😏

Iamnotalemming · 02/03/2026 20:58

Wow that questionnaire is a quite strong example of how to get the answers you want from the way you ask the questions.

Juneclaire · 02/03/2026 21:00

Thank you, that was most satisfactory.

Joolsin · 02/03/2026 21:03

That was enormous fun!

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 02/03/2026 21:12

That was great, I said there are only 2 sexes, I don't have a gender or so no history and everything else was N/a. I got a feeling mine will end up in the bin😂

LeftBoobGoneRogue · 02/03/2026 21:15

Completed and they won’t be happy. Tough.

ArabellaScott · 02/03/2026 21:19

Just noting googledocs may have some privacy issues.

ScottishSheepie · 02/03/2026 21:27

Done and very satisfying it was too.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 02/03/2026 21:32

Done. They’re not going to like my responses. 🤭

Kirschcherries · 02/03/2026 23:08

Done.

My email address is showing at the top of the form - before I answer I'd like to know whether that is something they can see?

I don't like the fact that my email address is already on the google docs form when I look at it via the link.
Don't like those questions, either.

No.

The Form creator can set the Google Form either to collect email addresses of respondents or not collect them.

If you are signed in to Google then just under your email address there is a little icon of an envelope and the words "Not Shared". That means the Form will not record your email address.

It's not something they can fake. It's set automatically when the person creating the Form ticks a box to set whether or not email addresses should be collected.

If you are not signed in to Google, the message is different. It says,

"Sign in to Google to save your progress. Learn more"

If you want to set your mind at rest that your email address will not be saved with the Form (although it definitely won't be), copy and paste the URL into a Private/Incognito window or sign out of Google before completing the Form. 👍

hallouminatus · 03/03/2026 07:59

Why are they asking for repeat responses from the same person?

I’m going to guess: because whoever set it up doesn’t understand how Google Forms works and didn’t switch that option off.

The fact that they’re using Google Forms (which is something your kid’s sports club or the PTA might use, because it’s free) is yet more evidence of the rinky-dink nature of this particular enterprise.

Or, they don't really care about the quality of their data because they're only going to use it as leverage to push a particular line, so are A OK with any of their boys who have time to kill to spend it giving them NUMBERS.

That was fun, thanks.

I did make the serious point that trans identifying females now have the right of maternity protection, which the Scottish government were arguing against.

zurigo · 03/03/2026 08:49

That was incredibly cathartic. Thank you!

"I do not have a gender history"

Same.

CompleteGinasaur · 03/03/2026 09:13

Done. "Gender is misogyny in action. I do not comply with misogyny."
