Its live today on the scottish tribunals website and lasting for three days. Easy to join and good audio quality. I think that's marion on screen in the background. She seemed rather amused at the judge trying to understand the definitions.

'It may be necessary to look at their appearance' - image isn't showing yet.

Since it was established even in Kemp's absolute disaster of a judgment that as soon as a woman complains about a man in her single sex space it is harassment of her to continue to have them in the same space, how is that going to work?

Darlington case, again, yes, harassment of women to inflict men on them in a single sex space.

This is true.

Yet what is also just as true is the deterrents that women face to stop them from complaining. Including an endless parade of emotional manipulation. But that is certainly not all- the coercive options are legion.

ArabellaScott · 04/02/2026 21:53

I do look forward to the forms for those 'scrutinising' the 'appearance' of men to decide if they look ladylike enough to be put in with the women.

Well, yes.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01/20/four-killers-trans-murderer-misgendered-scotland/

'Alexandria Stewart, a transgender woman in HMP Greenock previously known as Alan Baker, claims fellow inmate Jane Sutherley carried out a four-year campaign, between Jan 1 2019 and March 23 2023 of verbal abuse that left them feeling suicidal.
The allegations led to Sutherley being charged with behaving in a “threatening and abusive manner”, with the alleged offence aggravated by “transgender prejudice”. She denies the charge'

Alex Baker, whose record was accidentally wiped when he 'transitioned'.

I love that Nick Wallis is on to the biggest heist and subsequent gaslighting of women since the post office scandal.

Hedgehogforshort · 04/02/2026 22:48

I meant to say population tsk

Alpacajigsaw · 04/02/2026 23:08

Maybe I’m really heartless but I couldn’t give 2 shiny shits about the safety of post op transsexuals in the male prison estate, nor whether any male prisoners who say they are women kill themselves. Decisions have consequences. Still doesn’t entitle you to a woman’s prison

FallenSloppyDead2 · 04/02/2026 23:21

I imagine that there is a range of categories of men who are in danger of being sexually assaulted in men's prisons. It's not women's problem to solve.

On the issue of post-op transsexuals asking to be the exception - the naked aggression some of them have demonstrated on FWR threads just adds to the clarity of why they should not be in women's prisons.

lcakethereforeIam · 04/02/2026 23:58

If post op transwomen are in such danger being imprisoned with the other men why are actual women allowed to work in those places as guards, tutors, nurses and the like? It's almost like the SPS think they can manage the risk.

I doubt the woman alarmed and distressed at being locked up with a man is bothered by how pretty he is. Or how sincerely he feels internally. Or anything else really beyond the fact that he's a man.

Ffs, this experiment of 'no blanket rule' has been tried. Its what has been happening for some years due to major finagling with a pretendy version of the Equality Act that benefitted trans identified men only, and it did not work for women, hence women taking it through court and clarifying that yes, there is a blanket rule in the EqA as women have rights too . Other answers are going to have to be found for these blokes that do not involve handing them women to use. That's the only red line. Do anything else at all, it just can't involve using or taking anything from women.

And let's be honest, that's where the gears are crunching because the one and only desired goal is to use women. All the rest of the bullshit is merely flailing around trying to find a convincing enough reason to justify harming women, their rights and equalities and treating them as props in a man's life. It's as barking as Streeting saying 'lets just fuck up a few more hundred kids and see what happens' while not looking at the thousands already fucked up that are the evidence of that experiment. Because the aim is to get back to doing the fucking up, not what the evidence is.

Depends how he looks. According to the SHRC.

This is an interesting quote "whether they went through puberty in their acquired gender" do they think that's even a possibility?!

Helleofabore · 05/02/2026 07:29

this experiment of 'no blanket rule' has been tried.

Indeed it has. And it has failed.

It is time to stop harming female people by using them in any way as resources for male people who reject that they are male people.

Well said - just wanted to repeat this bit of your brilliant post because this is the absolute heart of it. I hope the SPS and the SG are happy they're very much on the same page in terms of morality as the men in the Epstein files.

Why are these horror shows of human beings in charge and why do so many other people go along with it?

I know we have the bravery of FWS in contrast but it really shouldn't be this fucking hard. SPS and SG are breaking the law and harming women and denying women in prison their human right to a single sex space. . They should all be in fucking jail themselves. Maybe they can be put in the same area as the TIMs to be used as validation fodder since they're so keen on it.

ATranssexualWoman · 04/02/2026 13:25

Where exactly do you think a post operative transsexual should go? A men's prison is a death sentence for a post op trans woman. Case by case allows the prison service to distinguish between a genuine transsexual who's post op and no danger to anyone and a clear chancer like Karen White or Isla Bryson.

Well if they know they're vulnerable they shouldn't commit crime.

Its just irrelevant. No matter how sad they are, men don't get to go in women's spaces.

Seriestwo · 05/02/2026 08:58

Nobody cares about women in jail. The ones who, almost without exception, have had lives of real difficulty. Most of them have head injuries because someone, at some point, beat her senseless. So, of course their education outcomes aren’t great, of course they have higher rates of addiction and of course they do things or don’t do things or make decisions which get them jailed.

chucking her in a cell with a violent man like Paris Green isn’t going to help.

Helleofabore · 05/02/2026 09:05

Retiredfromthere · 05/02/2026 09:03

Looking into what happened, the 'transphobic' prisoner was found not guilty. But while the accusation was in place she was denied parole (said her lawyer). I imagine that would be a powerful incentive not to speak out. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/scissor-killer-cleared-over-trans-35252291

The process was her punishment. Many of us followed her case and she is a very brave woman. And lost her right to parole for years because a male prisoner was placed in her prison.

lcakethereforeIam · 05/02/2026 09:22

I think she's sueing.

I don’t know if I can stand listening to this bloke. Between his delivery and the guff that he is spewing he’s on my last nerve already.
