Women’s Rights Network imploding

WTF is going on? There are letters circulating with members alleging bullying, and anyone who asks a question is suspended and comments deleted. The leader calling everyone to urgent meetings with bizarre messaging: ‘there is no letter, and if there is it’s full of lies, and you can’t see the letter just trust us, and ooh look, something shiny!’ Should I cut my losses, cancel my standing order and just follow Let Women Speak?

Just the WRN Scotland group along with 61 others, so not much notoriety in that.

I'm seeing the same pattern from the Women's Rights Network again: attempts to instill fear, orchestrate what looks like a witch hunt, and silence women for daring to ask legitimate questions or voice real concerns about how the organisation is run.
If WRN were willing to address these criticisms openly and directly – rather than creating an atmosphere of fear where questioning is punished – maybe these discussions wouldn't spill over onto Mumsnet in the first place.
To those representing or defending WRN here: are you prepared to actually respond to and address the substantive points being raised in this thread, or is the goal simply to intimidate people into silence?

Ever thought of writing a psychological thriller? You’ve a gift for the dramatic

It’s deeply concerning that so many members, coordinators, and even a director have been expelled from the Women’s Rights Network (WRN) without any right to reply or defend themselves. Despite numerous requests for open dialogue and transparency, these have all been flatly denied. If everything at WRN is truly above board and operating ethically, why the need to silence women who are simply asking legitimate questions? We deserve better—accountability starts with conversation.

You can’t seriously be expecting them to appear on Mumsnet to answer to you 😂

Scottishwifey · 12/02/2026 20:00

The Women’s Rights Network has seriously undermined its own credibility across the entire women’s rights movement. Maybe their “volunteers”—or should I say, some directors/ coordinator's —who’ve been dipping into the donations pot for consultancy fees, travel perks, and fancy accommodations will finally realise the grift is over.

RhannionKPSS · 12/02/2026 20:02

I , for one , have very low expectations of WRN after the appalling way many women have been treated by a so called “ grassroots “ organisation which is anything but. What it actually is a vehicle for a opportunistic controlling woman who slid into a situation created by another woman, and has piggy backed on other women ever since

Do you have evidence to back those claims up? By evidence I don’t mean “someone posted on Mumsnet”.

Always “without fear or favour” eh?

RhannionKPSS · 12/02/2026 20:04

Don’t need any evidence, this isn’t a court, a lot of us have long memories
