Women’s Rights Network imploding

WTF is going on? There are letters circulating with members alleging bullying, and anyone who asks a question is suspended and comments deleted. The leader calling everyone to urgent meetings with bizarre messaging: ‘there is no letter, and if there is it’s full of lies, and you can’t see the letter just trust us, and ooh look, something shiny!’ Should I cut my losses, cancel my standing order and just follow Let Women Speak?

I know that doxxing people on this platform is seen as a heinous crime but it’s interesting that a person on this and the previous thread re WRN has said they know who I am and have accused me of “bleating” on a WRN WhatsApp chat. Am I allowed to respond saying I know who they are?

Only if you don't mind having your post reported, deleted and your account being put on the naughty step temporarily or smacked hard with the Ban Hammer. The better option is for you to report any posts like that for trolling and attempting to intimidate you. With any luck, they will get smacked hard by the Ban Hammer.

The deeply unpleasant tone of that poster and her covert hints at doxxing you speak for themselves to be honest. I have no idea who she is but it’s clear to any observer that she’s part of the WRN inner circle in Scotland (although that’s pretty much what WRN Scotland is now I understand, having sacked the entire outer circle!). Her posts should stand in my view, as they make the point for this thread on their own.

I am mindful there are not many posts left available on this thread so want to reiterate that we feminists in the Chilterns had previously given only loyalty and hard work for the WRN causes. We also wanted to engage in meaningful discussion with the WRN leadership. That was not to be but it has meant the start of a new and exciting chapter for us as we continue our work. Do follow us and thank you for your support WitChes

I’m really sorry you had that experience, @Worriedfeminist, but not surprised. You can’t argue with those who are driven by ego.

Your new X account is brilliant, I have been following. It is WRN’s loss, that they thought the women behind your account, were disposable. Onwards and upwards.

Well this from @notfinishedyetis still here for us to ponder on.

For those on here who doubted our contributions, we were not nearby or happened to be there, we are campaigners.

The implication that women on here should stop complaining because they couldn’t organise it any better themselves is ludicrous given most GC activism started on MN.

This list of contributions still blows me away. As does the fact that you compiled it asking WRN for dialogue, which they completely refused. Utter shortsighted foolishness on their part which I hope they are regretting.

Seems to me from that letter, that these were the same women who DID organise it themselves. Then others registered the company and took the credit, then kicked out the women who did the work.

Im delighted the Witches have branched out independently.

Seriestwo · 14/03/2026 17:26

I still can’t understand how some or one woman was able to register WRN as a company. It looks like left.

It’s certainly a bit sneaky isn’t it? Didn’t she (and her co directors) think someone might question their behaviour at some time?

Didn’t a similar thing happen with Fair Play for Women?

So am I. All that energy and knowledge and determination had to go somewhere, and I think becoming an independent group will be the making of them. No more constraints, no topdown micro-management. The WitChes unfettered will be a force to be reckoned with. I know that we women in Wessex and Surrey are delighted to be affiliated with them. We’re already planning joint working groups - and we’re not done yet.

Our network will be joined by another new and independent group soon.

Are you going to have a name for that network? WRN is already taken but I bet you can think of a good one!

NameChangedWren I didn't expect this thread to be still going after nearly six weeks and nearly full now!

Continuation thread as it looks like there are further developments in the pipeline?

RhannionKPSS · 15/03/2026 12:51

Great to hear about all the Women of groups starting up all over the UK, all springing up from Shirley’s original Shoppers groups. Thank you Shirley.

In case you missed it, or are not on X.

I am sure it will not be long before all the congratulatory messages pile in from the women who posted, "If you think you are so clever, start your own group!"

Unusualdog · 16/03/2026 21:43

I am happy to see these new groups but I predict they will implode from infighting within 2 years. I feel sad at all the wasted energy

ThimbleThief · 17/03/2026 00:40

Why two years specifically, Unusualdog?

How long was it before WRN lost the first group through either a purge or women walking away?

How long have the various ex-WRN Groups been going?

WaterThyme · 17/03/2026 07:04

How does anyone not on X contact Women o’ Scotland?

RinklyRomaine · 17/03/2026 08:19

There is an email. Let me check how they want to share it.

TipsyKhakiJoker · 17/03/2026 08:29

Well you’re a right little ray of sunshine @Unusualdog, aren’t you? But then you’re the one who said the Bucks women were “just there” rather than driving WRN, and that everyone here is attacking the poor women who do all the work because they aren’t very good at it, and slagging off @TinselAngel. So why don’t you take your half empty glass away somewhere, and let the activists speak.
