Holly Valance - new take on Kiss Kiss 💋

Kiss Kiss (XX) My Arse.

The ex Neighbours star has recorded a revised version of her 2002 no 1 hit, openly mocking transwomen and other woke concepts.

Currently no 1 in the Australian charts apparently, available on Apple Music and Spotify.

Looks like the Aussies have had enough (and still have a sense of humour!)

That’s hilarious! (Easy to find on YouTube.)

Not a massive surprise, she and her stbx husband are big donors to Reform and fans of the Trump.

Besides all that though... I think there is something to be taken from the immediately positive reaction from the public. Don't you?

Many people have been pushed rightwards by this specific issue.

I deplore Reform and Trump, but I can see how that for some it might be the single impetus that makes them vote that way.

Thortour · 27/01/2026 11:18

She met with Trump and is a donor to Reform. She seems awful.

2026willbebetter · 27/01/2026 11:19

I disagree. Public mockery is just going to get people’s backs up and continue the divide so the general public will just think people are bigots rather than listening to genuine safeguarding concerns.

PevenseygirlQQ · 27/01/2026 11:20

Bit of a cheek considering its not even her original song, I believe the original song is by a Turkish male singer

borntobequiet · 27/01/2026 11:26

Considering the shocking takeover of society in Australia by this nonsense and the number of women and girls harmed by it, being laughed at is letting its proponents off lightly.

I am GC. I am horrified by what every party is doing to the rights of women and girls but anyone voting for Reform on this single issue and thinking that will improve the lives of women and girls is on a hiding to nothing.

They want to dismantle maternity rights. They have actively voted against strengthening anti-up-skirting legislation. They voted against strengthening laws to protect children online. They do not give two shits about women and girls (or boys) safety or wellbeing. We are just convenient political pawns in the game. Same as it ever was.

I do feel like it's the first time this has been openly questioned.

We are very lucky on 'terf island' that it's not unusual to hear dissenting voices.

In Australia there is a lot more fear. Gender ideology was basically written into law there so the risks of speaking out are much higher.

So I think on balance this is a good thing. It might embolden more people to raise questions. Not saying she's a good person, I wouldn't know! But at least someone is doing something.

She's mates with Tommy Robinson and Lawrence Fox. I don't think she's lived in Australia for decades so she's hardly their most powerful social barometer.

She's the pretty face of an ugly movement

Read my post again.

Australians are loving it!

THEY are the social barometer, are they not?

I suspect they have no idea what she’s been doing in the UK and who she supports and is hanging out with. For them, she’s an ex soap and pop star who has made a funny song.

It’s not only funny, it’s expressing sentiments that they agree with and haven’t been able to express. I suspect that for some, it’s extraordinarily liberating.

Taytoface · 27/01/2026 12:22

Not something I can celebrate. I think I would rather go for a pint with India Willoughby than her.

Hardly but ok.

DangerQuakeRhinoSnake · 27/01/2026 12:34

Ok @NeedSleepNowww why wouldn't the Australian public know what she's been doing since leaving Australia?

Do they not have the Internet over there?

I agree. Much as I don't like to see the lazy "all Reform voters are swivel-eyed racists" line being trotted out as a way of dismissing them (they've risen to prominence because they will listen to people's fears (arguably exploiting them) when other parties preferred not to have to hear it), Reform is not a friend to women.

WhereYouLeftIt · 27/01/2026 12:44

To all those squealing But Trump! But Farage! But Robinson!

Are you familiar with the footballing maxim - 'Play the ball, not the man'?

What do you think of THE SONG and the environment (Australia) that it has been released into?

Edit - awaits sqealing that women play football too. The maxim dates from the 1950s-ish.

FlashingFairyLight · 27/01/2026 13:32

Irrespective of HV's political views and her questionable choice of associates...

The fact that Aus is deeply publicly captured and YET the song is at No. 1 indicates a disconnect between what Australians as a class group say they believe and what, in the comfort of their own kitchens, actually think & laugh about.

HV is a distraction from the real message.
A bit like that literal Nazi who was about to be sent to a woman's prison before he legged it - as an individual he's repugnant but he managed to expose the insanity of GI in a very visible way.

You don't have to be nice or even bearable to be right.

solerolover · 27/01/2026 13:52

I just listened to it on Spotify.

Regardless of her political views and who she hangs out with, the opening line is hilarious, I can't lie: “MWAH You will respect my pronouns. Not all ladies have ovaries, some have a penis."
because that's exactly what TRAs sound like. I think they need to learn to laugh at themselves or maybe just "reframe their trauma."🙃
