The one where the men get their jollies showing their cock and balls. There is a petition which is not getting much traction. You may want to sign if you don't want to encourage this.

Photo won't upload but it is on this link. In WHAT OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES would it be ok for a man to be fully naked with a stiffy in the middle of the city with young children walking by? x.com/joseletemuniz/status/1673812708687245312?lang=ar

What a filthy b4stard

These things are advertised where they happen. Its easy to avoid them, like other events, Prides etc

You're presuming everyone reads a newspaper or ads, or even understands that they are really actually naked. Homeless, refugees, visitors to the country/city etc can easily stumble on this. It is completely inappropriate to hold in a city. Point blank. Full stop. No matter how much advertising is done.

FrippEnos · 26/01/2026 14:20

Would you be OK with a women's only naked bike ride?
Or would you com[;ain about the 'pervy' men who saw/watched it?

As far as I can tell both sexes that take part in this are exhibtionists.

Hamperfairie · 26/01/2026 14:23

I have no problem with non sexual nudity, if men are unable to control their arousal they should leave quickly/cover themselves or be arrested.

I think our societies prudishness around nudity and sex is harmful. It makes medical procedures shameful and increases stress, stops people going to the dr when they should. Stops people talking about sex in a neutral way. And just in general adds shame to so many situations where it shouldn't be.

ThatBlackCat · 26/01/2026 13:21

I bet you say that to women and children who've been flashed by a man in a raincoat. Gaslighting the victims. Very hard NOT to look when someone is naked in public!!

That isn't gaslighting and yes it is easy not to look.

Branleuse · 26/01/2026 14:32

ThatBlackCat · 26/01/2026 13:22

Women and children shouldn't have to be flashed like that. It's supposed to be a crime or at least an offence to go out in public naked.

Noone gets flashed though. I've seen it go past several times, and never seen anything offensive.
It's non sexual. It's not flashing.

It's not aimed at any individual, and they go by fast enough that you would have to really zoom in and try and rewatch on slowmo if you wanted to see anything from the nono square 😉

Totally agree. I am also interested as I think historically (since the 2nd wave anyway) this would have been the position most feminists aligned with. Pragmatic & non prudish.

It is gaslighting, and victim-blaming, and NO, it is NOT easy not to look when a male FLASHES YOU OR A CHILD!

They dismount, mount, and as I proved with that link, they are indeed flashing.

Sorry I meant it's easy not to look at the naked bike ride, I misread your post.

Bobbinog · 26/01/2026 14:40

A bit off subject, but as a cyclist is really like to know now its possible for anyone, male or female, to cycle naked. The chaffing must be absolutely terrible 😳

MyThreeWords · 26/01/2026 15:26

Is there any suggestion at all that this event has been colonised by exhibitionist men (in the way that some Pride events seem to be)? If not, what is the problem with it (other than worryingly sore lady-bits and man-bits)?
Nakedness isn't a problem in itself. I always thought the event sounded kind of fun.

Nakedness is a problem when women (including rape survivors), children, religious women, refugees, etc etc etc are passing by and are being flashed. Next you will say 'what is wrong with men in trenchcoats flashing children?'. Because that is basically what this is. There is nothing 'fun' about this if you are an unsuspecting child or trauma survivor who sees this.

And yes, there are men with erections and children passing metres from these men, see my link above.

dadtoateen · 26/01/2026 16:03

Haven't you already posted this on another 'feed'?

The naked bike ride also have women doing it flashing their bits and bobs, why is this different to men?

TempestTost · 26/01/2026 16:07

As far as the law goes, public nakedness itself is not always directly illegal. "Indecent exposure" doesn't apply to all nudity automatically. Which is why I believe these kinds of events aren't automatically illegal. Or the kinds of events where women go topless to say they are the same as men.

I'm not particularly hard line about all nudity being problematic. I think stuff like this is in bad taste, and should be discouraged socially, but I'm not terribly keen to make it illegal.

If you are replying to me (please learn to quote reply) No, I haven't. The vast overwhelming majority of them are male, and if you can't understand why seeing a penis is more upsetting and traumatising, then that's your Male Privilege.

Bit weird going to see this and concentrating on the penis. Traumatising? That's a bit extreme :) :)

See, I quoted the post, check me out!

MyThreeWords · 26/01/2026 16:38

Surely you don't need to 'quote reply' when you are responding to the opening post? That's the whole point of a thread, isn't it? We are all 'replying' in that sense.
(I think I feel more peeved by unnecessary quoting than I do by naked cyclists.)

I find it depends. If it is a long OP, and there is a specific phrase of bit of information that you want to refer to that needs to be exact, I can see why people do it.

I usually copy and past the important bit and then bold it, but that takes longer.

DulciUke · 26/01/2026 17:10

They have a Naked Bike Ride every year in Portland, Oregon. Usually it’s just considered a “Keep Portland Weird” sort of an event and is held in summer. Last November however, it was part of an anti ICE protest, the Emergency World Naked Bike Ride. It was rainy and cold, so many people wore (clear) raincoats.

Bagsintheboot · 26/01/2026 17:11

ThatBlackCat · 26/01/2026 13:22

It's completely legal to be naked in public.

You need to look up what actually constitutes flashing (indecent exposure).

thirdfiddle · 26/01/2026 17:54

I think it's one of those things where safeguarding should prohibit it. Yes the majority of people are probably doing a silly non-sexual one-off, but the fact of holding the event is going to attract exposure fetishists as it makes it basically impossible to stop or prosecute them. (Perfectly natural reaction to fresh air and exercise officer.)

But like mixed sex changing rooms or mixed sex prison cells really. If you make it legal to be there and be undressed, it attracts predators.

PassTheHanky · 26/01/2026 18:27

I decided to sign for the reasons listed in the petition details.

Also because things always seem to degenerate as the fetishishists take advantage.
e.g. Pride marches started off with fully dressed people marching with banners but now include naked people, people wearing S&M and wearing dog masks & collars which are clearly fetishes.
I suspect this bike ride will attract the same type of people.

DangerQuakeRhinoSnake · 26/01/2026 18:54

There are naturist beaches and clubs if people want to feel 'liberated'.

These events are forcing non consenting members of the public to witness it and I'm not ok with that.

Of course it will attract the weirdos and pervs!

Datun · 26/01/2026 19:13

Hmmm.

I wonder what sort of people might like to start an event where they can ride naked throughout the town with their cocks out, in front of children.

edited to add and adults too, of course. I don't suppose some people are that fussy.
