‘Transphobic’ Christmas card pulled from Sainsbury’s

The card was deemed offensive for featuring a cartoon of Dr Seuss’s Grinch character alongside the caption: “This Christmas, I’m identifying as a Grinch.”

The phrase “identifying as” in this context has been described by trans campaigners as an anti-trans dog whistle for suggesting that a person can choose their gender to be anything.

there is a picture circulating on X with Sparkles holding a framed copy of the offending card but i'm not sure it is real. So not reposting. But. Urgh.

Well, they've proved they identify as grinches! Prats.

Bloody hell! I agree with Molly on a couple of points. Never thought I'd type that.

"The biggest lesson I’ve learnt from all this is that sometimes I get it wrong. Yes, that’s right! I’m constantly learning and re-evaluated my stance on subjects. After all that’s what a person with an open mind should do. I overreacted."

"I have also learnt that words are powerful. Extremely powerful! Not for a second did I think it would blow up all over the internet and mainstream media like it did. Well, it just goes to show that words really matter. They can be weaponised to cause great harm and division.
I believe we should all be very careful about the lanquage we use. A seemingly innocent phrase can turn out to be deeply problematic, so it is always best to think it through before you hit that send button."

What hypocrasy! Who was weaponising words.

So sunk in Molly's view of the world, and so arrogant as to think others would aspire to think like them. Most people just dont. Just because some are kind, doesn't mean they think people can change sex.

Why do we all have to perform mental gymnastics, so as to pretend that we believe something we dont.

The only problem for Molly is having a world view hardly anyone else has. And the arrogance to start a campaign (which it was clearly meant to do.

https://northwestbylines.co.uk/politics/opinion/the-trans-journalist-who-stole-christmas-or-did-she/

He wrote a little essay about his experiences whining about Christmas cards.

For someone who identifies as a journalist, Mr Molly's proofreading is shocking.
