It’s interesting to note that this is produced by Angel Studios, a Christian studio based in Utah dedicated to the production of ‘values-based’ content. Much of its content carries Christian themes. Another big release this month is ‘Melania’, a biopic about Melania Trump. Most of these productions are promoted by Trump/GOP pundits.

I agree - and that’s one of the odd things about it. The founders of the studio are Mormon, but they describe the content as broadly Christian and/or “values-based”.

Interesting. How does that fit with the message of this film apparently being "Socialism good, Capitalism bad"? I'd have thought a pro-Trump organisation would be the opposite.

I suppose none of us have seen the film yet, so we don't know.

It's been so long since I watched the old animated film version - does it have the same ending as the book? Is the new film targeted at adults, young teens or toddlers?

They're a play on words on Orwell titles, I changed "Down And Out in Paris And London" to:

Doing Jolly Well in Paris and London.

For example.
