Green Party lawyers warn guidance on identifying ‘queerphobia’ risks discriminating against members who question gender ideology

The Green Party is tearing itself apart over internal trans guidance, a leaked dossier has revealed.

The 53-page report on legal and reputational risk to the party, leaked to The Telegraph, exposes an extraordinary row over the party’s policies on transgender and LGBT rights.

It poses material legal and financial risks to Zack Polanski’s movement, the dossier reveals.

The report, drawn up by the party’s own lawyers, raises concerns over “expulsions” of members who question gender ideology.

It says these have not always followed “due process”, suggesting party lieutenants have been taking disciplinary action against members because of “individual hostility to gender-critical beliefs, or assumed beliefs”.
It warns such sanctions “should only be undertaken in extreme circumstances” and that action against gender-critical members is sapping morale and “failing to inspire the trust and confidence of large numbers of party members”.

The report also reveals the party is spending almost £200,000 a year on its legal costs and external investigations of disciplinary cases, threatening its ability to carry out key functions.

I totally agree with you.

We have to understand that much politics especially now is pretty emotional.

Most people have joined Greens for vibes stuff.. Polanski being a charismatic man, Gaza, fear of Reform, simplistic solutions like taxing rich. The gender stuff is way down the line.
Similar vibes based politics for Farage.

If we understand this though we have a chance to push things in the direction we want long term though.

For Hypno and other TAs, unlike a lot of his voters, gender stuff is absolutely essential. It is a core target. He will sacrifice his "socialist" agenda to get men in dresses, any men including rich ones, extra stuff.

We don't need to worry about convincing everyone not to vote Green because they think it will make their lives better. All we need to do is to trigger ZP into doing and saying things which divert from his popular policies, to get him talking about how the biggest issue in the UK right now is not the economy, crime or the environment, but that men in dresses can't do what they want.

To do this all women have to do is say things, have sports, etc. They have a big opportunity to trigger the crazy in the run up to the May elections by simply turning up at hustings, posting online and so on.

This might not lose them many votes at first, but the more we make them mad, the more unpopular we can make them over time.

Unfortunately as others have said, there isn’t enough visibility of the Greens and this issue in the mainstream media. I can imagine them showing their ‘true colours’ in any tv pre-election debate. But that would still depend upon the BBc or Sky or whoever seeing trans overreach as being a major policy area and actually asking them about it… and I’m not sure that would happen.

The BBC have form with doing it to the Lib Dems even when they were pro trans in every other respect. The other parties might also stir the pot too.

Perhaps because: "The report also reveals the party is spending almost £200,000 a year on its legal costs and external investigations of disciplinary cases"

Yet we dinosaurs had figured this out years ago, before the court cases had even begun.

Jesus Christ.

Imagine the legal cases challenging a green party government if they run their own party this badly and counter to the law!

Just because you are in government, doesn't mean you are able to rip up every existing law you don't like ...

It's scary they are behaving like this.

Men who correct women could face disciplinary action under plans being considered by the Green Party.

Party bosses are considering a proposal to broaden the Greens’ definition of misogyny to the point that “any disagreement” between the sexes could lead to the man facing a sanction.

Well this doesn't make sense, because if this was true then Women in the Green Party would be able to express their gender critical views, ie sex is biological, and not be accused of transphobia!

I suspect there are plenty of pro-gender ideology women in the Greens.

But it is crazy that theoretically, you could have one man disciplined for correcting a woman for saying something, while another man was disciplined for correcting a differernt women in the opposite direction.

I think that illustrates very clearly the land of crazy that id pol - hierarchies of oppression combined with group stereotyping - leads to.

"queerphobia" now! has 'transphobia' been upsurged? are they changing the narrative again, they're going to run out of phobia's soon.

Despite been barn pot crazy, the Green Parties membership keeps raising, so may be the leadership thinks it has money to burn because it can always relay on the membership for more.

Yes, perhaps "transphobia" doesn't really cover a natural aversion to being confronted by twats with unfortunate tastes in hair colour, facial tattoos and nose piercings? So they've widened the concept to "queerphobia" which somehow manages to condemn real lesbians for not pretending to fancy lads in makeup?
