This is wonderful news and so very deserved.

She should have had the gold medal as well, but nobody cared enough so the cheating East Germans got it instead (I don't blame the athletes, they were used by their state). She is now fighting for fairness in women's sport. She will be an excellent sensible voice for justice.

I'm delighted for her, she's been a voice of reason in recent years when it's much needed.

I also lived near her for many years, used to chat cars and misc other things!
She was lovely then, and though I haven’t seen her for a few years, it looks as though she is still on form…

great news and brings her campaigning even more into the public eye
