This ad has been complained about on site stuff. I get the feeling it would be fine for some Bluey patrons. I called in at the village PO the other day & while queueing I noticed they have 'Country Life', 'Horse & Hound', a magazine about shotguns & FOUR tractor magazines, including one on vintage tractors. They know their clientele.

Not this Bluey patron.

Fortunately I got fed up with the ads making my iPad run so very slowly that I gave up and subscribed. It’s worth it to join you all in The Bluestocking. 💖

Has anybody else submitted their request to view the tribunal? 😂😍

Feeling giddy already.

Just as soon as we have a case number.

Sending hugs to Myrtle who deserves a break from all this😟

I was chatting to a neighbour today about the bloody muntjac.

This is definitely gun and tractor magazine country...

Edited to add, quite a few of the Bluey's patrons seem to be on dubious Internet, not on mains drainage, reliant on oil boilers, regulars in village shops, tractor aficionados - in other words, rural.

It’s the first line of “I am a Rock,” but it seemed appropriate. Simon and Garfunkel songs provide me with a useful source of new names.

I have yet to include the phrase “on a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow” into conversation, but one day…

Something similar might provide a soft landing the next time we need to steal discreetly remove helpfully empty the Tunnocks storeroom(s) for Boily at our next removal.

Some cheer for everyone - the evenings have stopped getting measurably shorter. And from the 17th they are going to be getting longer and lighter.

I won't mention the mornings.

Would an appeal to MN let you namechange?

It might, indeed, but I’ll stick with signing my posts for a while.

I remember saying to a classmate when I was in 5th year [15-16ish] how much I loved that song, and she said ' Yes, I did too. When I was in 4th year'.
Crushing!😞

Ah, I thought it sounded familiar but couldn’t place it. I like it, it’s good for this month, though of course your usual name is seasonal too - perhaps we’ll be onto the next iteration by Epiphany if not before.

Best thing to do with mornings. I quite like opening my curtains and seeing the flush of dawn with my morning tea at this time of year.

lcedcakethereforeIam · 11/12/2025 17:48

I loved that song, still do. It really resonated with moody teenaged me.

My DH is on antibiotics every day, twice a day, for life. No chart will help him. So far 8.5 years.
I'm so sad for him.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 11/12/2025 17:55

I loved Swashy's description of the fishermen's pub. In my mind it was dark, dank, cave-like & smelt of fish. Probably better for everyone that it probably isn't.

That's a hard road for him to travel, Fuzzy, and hard for you as you're with your DH every step of the wayFlowers

Thank you, lovely Android and Marie. I appreciate your every word.

Not keen on the guns but... FOUR MAGAZINES ABOUT TRACTORS?! 😍

I wonder if I'm in any of them

All of them, dahling, & on the cover of one. You're such a diva.

I hear 'tractor' being pronounced in that deep American boxing match announcement voice. Or in The Gladiators:
'Tract -ooooorrrrrrr!'

Hahaha! My cover star dreams at last, and not before time! 😂

(I love the AI's pro-tractor suggested text - it's clearly a huge secret tractor fan!)
