He was charged a year ago. He is now appearing in court.

If he's found guilty, it might set a useful precedent. A different angle to push back.

Too many people think they can do as they like if it furthers their cause, time the law stepped in and showed them differently

It's the terrorist arm of queer activism - we're very familiar with them on here. Threats, intimidation, doxxing, threatened and actual violence - all in order to silence views that people don't like.

Long overdue for Prevent to take an active interest in many of these queer theory activists.

I can’t stand KH but am very pleased this man has been prosecuted, let it be a warning to the many others who have tried to shut down women.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 25/11/2025 20:27

Wow, I can't believe one's been charged, now all they have to do is charge all the other unhinged bully's, they can start with the one's harassing GL.

I can't stand her either but venues have a right to put on a show, and she has a right to do a show.

His defence of "i was just informing them how awful she is" doesn't wash given all the other threats he made.

I want him doing jailtime. Pour encourager les autres, and all that.

selffellatingouroborosofhate · 25/11/2025 21:46

I despise her and what she says and I defend her right to say it.

When will the idiots behind Bash Back be in court? They've committed criminal damage with similar motives.

JanesLittleGirl · 25/11/2025 22:47

I'm buying popcorn. This show will run and run.

FuckOffMadison · 25/11/2025 23:13

Wow, I'm very surprised at this. I'm also surprised the police and cps actually decided to go forward with it.

Thanks for the archive link!

ThatBlackCat · 26/11/2025 09:17

LGB activist or T activist? They are two entirely completely different things. If he was solely a T activist I doubt the police would have charged him though.

Brefugee · 26/11/2025 11:19

i find that they out themselves - if they say LGBTQ+ they are all about the T. If they say LGBT or even LGB they are all about the LGB

ScholesPanda · 26/11/2025 13:59

It's an interesting case.

My own view is that flyering outside a venue and encouraging people not to go, is a form of free speech in itself and has a long pedigree of being used by activists across the political spectrum.

Threatening disruption within the shows themselves sounds more like extortion.

I'd be interested to see where the court decides the line lies.

Chersfrozenface · 26/11/2025 14:14

Oliver's employment history on LinkedIn is certainly interesting.

There's more than one LinkedIn account with that name. Anything especially noteworthy?

Going by the details of age and location in the Grauniad's report (30, Southampton) it's the one who is Deputy Manager at V.I.P. Soton. He started work in 2013 and got an Open University degree 2016 - 2019 so I'm guessing worked from age 18 making him 30 now.

MelOfTheRoses · 26/11/2025 19:13

Hmm 🧐

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 21/08/2026 09:05

I don't know what happened to the November trial on this, but I wanted to say that a two week trial of this case has just concluded in Southampton, and the defendant was found guilty on four charges of blackmail. Sentencing reserved till October 16th.

TrainedByWitches · 21/08/2026 10:42

Hope he gets a custodian sentence. Wonder what happened to previous trial.

His defence was laughable, he wanted to warn the venues what she was like 😂She’s been extremely successful at letting people know what she’s like.

I don’t like Hopkins but I defend her right to be obnoxiously outspoken, no one is forced to listen to her, (except for the poor venue staff I suppose)

Daleksatemyshed · 21/08/2026 11:02

Well that's an unexpected pleasure @WorkingItOutAsIGo , thanks for letting us know

Justme56 · 21/08/2026 11:08

So he made up lies about the venue (eg watering down drinks) to try and prevent KH from performing. Doesn’t sound like he was warning them in any shape or form.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 21/08/2026 11:24

Thanks for the update it's good to know that when these cases do get to court justice prevails instead genuflection to the batshittery.

Agreed he clearly had no defence and the ‘warning them what she was like’ was the best his defence could up with 😂
