LGBTQ+ activist in court on blackmail charges

This is a LGBTQ+ activist who harassed Katie Hopkins & threatened to disrupt her theatre shows so that her gigs got cancelled. He is now charged with blackmail.

It's sadly had no media coverage today apart from the local press - pushed out by the wall to wall Harry and Meghan coverage. I would like it to be more widely known to inform others who might consider doing similar that it's actually a crime.

It's good that he's been convicted - hope his sentence represents the seriousness of blackmail and the financial costs that individuals and businesses have to endure because of men like him who don't have the skills to manage in a democratic society.

I just looked at sentencing guidelines and it's from community service to 14 years. I understand the defendant is highly vulnerable so I suspect the judge will tend to the lenient end.

I gather from someone who attended the trial that the defendant has severe mental health issues.
