False Allegations Against Doozer McDooze

SidewaysOtter · 24/11/2025 09:11

For those not aware, Doozer McDooze is the partner of the artist Birdy Rose, who has spoken on issues of women’s rights etc. Doozer has come under fire for not controlling what his partner says, including attacks on his work as a musician.

He posted this on TwiX, where a legit-sounding charity has made allegations that he’s a convicted sex-offender and instructed the venue for his album launch to cancel it or else.

This is absolutely insane. As Doozer says, these sorts of allegations can have very serious consequences. Who the fuck is doing this?

Doozer McDooze (@DoozerMcDooze) on X

The highs and lows of being a musician never stop. Last night at the Tea House Theatre was beautiful – I got to play my music to a room full of lovely, engaged people just enjoying themselves. After the show - the venue owner handed me two printed out...

Let's hope Rebecca Harlan has got her Tena Lady on today, this sounds like an expensive mistake to put your name to.

I doubt Rebecca Harlan is their real name.

What an absolutely disgusting thing to do.

JaquelineHide · 24/11/2025 09:32

It looks like the pot was at least stirred by a certain disgraced police officer .

Also the charity doesn't seem to exist and has 'borrowed' the charity number from another one.

I googled the charity name. There is nothing in the UK with that name - just an American organisation with a similar name.

The charity number search brings up a completely different charity.

Thank god the venue owner was sceptical.

Shedmistress · 24/11/2025 09:41

It is always the same few people.

Helleofabore · 24/11/2025 09:43

I think google has had plenty of searches for the charity's name and number this morning.

You would have to be seriously deranged to send letters like that to get someone's venue cancelled.

They are seriously deranged. They think they're women.

They've been on and on at that venue trying to get his gig cancelled for weeks, clearly the venue weren't cowed and so they've resorted to this.

Very stupid, because calling someone a mean old TERF isn't illegal/libel, but putting in writing that they're a convicted sex offender certainly is. Also fraudulently claiming to be from a charity. Very stupid to have crossed that line. They probably think that by using the contact form they can stay anonymous, but there are often digital breadcrumbs to be followed.

I doubt very much that's a genuine name. Someone has put a lot of effort into those emails sounding credible - they aren't the usual nutjob rantings of the TRA crowd who believe that wild threats and multiple exclamation marks are the way to go.

As @Helleofabore says, they're utterly deranged. And seem to have reached "go hard or go home" levels of escalation.

I agree. Those emails have been put together based on a pre-drafted template. There are a couple of giveaway signs in the text.

Pick your target -> adapt the boilerplate -> press send -> ruin someone's reputation

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/11/2025 11:12

They’re going after him because she has always stood up to them so they know it’s pointless targeting her. Vile, malevolent fuckers.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/11/2025 11:13

It’s like when gangsters say “well I understand you’re not afraid but we will go after your family”.

moto748e · 24/11/2025 11:22

I wonder how interested the police are in following this up? What scumbags these people are.

It’s like when gangsters say “well I understand you’re not afraid but we will go after your family”.

The last line of the second email - "We know you care about your venue's reputation" - is straight out of the protection racket playbook: "Nice business you've got here. Be a shame if anything happened to it, wouldn't it?"

I'm not in the UK, but as far as I know, the The Charity Commission - GOV.UK gives charity numbers, so maybe a complaint to them about the phoney number used in making the false allegations?

Greyskybluesky · 24/11/2025 11:27

So the venue didn't cancel the performance.

Next step in the TRA playbook: slag it off all over the internet, Google reviews, tripadvisor etc etc and try to ruin the business

Yes, it seems really murky. I was imagining a slightly daffy lady clutching her pearls in one hand and her safeguarding for dummies handbook in the other!

They have used a real charity number, but it's for a completely different charity to what they've claimed. No idea if this other charity is involved, they might just have been picked at random? If so, they might want to know their number has been used for fraudulent purposes. If not, they could be in trouble themselves. Seems like a good idea to report anyway.

Absolutely and before the Forstater decision, there was zero comeback in these circumstances.

Oh I should imagine it's someone far angrier and almost certainly male, as well as being in possession of an agenda and a determination to punish anyone who doesn't toe the TRA line, even if that means someone gets hurt or their career ruined.

It’s the name of several women, but doesn’t seem to check out as a genuine trans activist.

What's interesting is, Lynsay's mad SEEN POOPN account has disappeared off Bluesky overnight. I know he's got other things going on (see here: Wings Over Scotland | Searching And Looking ) but I wonder if the heat of this is bringing attention he doesn't want. Accusing a person, in writing, of being a convicted sex offender, with the object of damaging his career, is open and shut libel. I'm not saying that Watson was behind those two fraudulent letters, but he's the one who's been inciting people to protest the venue, for quite a while.

Searching And Looking

Disgraced ex-policeman and notorious vexatious serial complainant Lynsay Watson is having quite the meltdown on the groomer-and-paedophile haven Bluesky tonight. Let’s listen in.

NotThatWay · 24/11/2025 12:19

Seems like it's been suspended. I don't know if that means he took it down himself, or if he's crossed a line.

Daleksatemyshed · 24/11/2025 14:29

Amazing to me how these people say their women and yet have no respect for women at all- haven't we got past the days when women weren't allowed their own opinions, or when their DHs told them what they could and couldn't do or say?
