CE to xe!!

Yay!

ickky · 19/11/2025 12:52

From NW

SD calls Moyra Lock (ML)
[she is affirmed]

SD takes her through her WS and she confirms it is hers, her signature a "true and accurate account of your evidence"
ML yes
Dr Charlotte Elves (CE) is xe-ing ML
CE can we go to par 1 of your WS - says you have responsibility for pay
ML yes
CE including administering sick pay

ML yes
CE and you say you were instructed verbally by MD to put SM on Stat Sick Pay (SSP)
ML yes
CE when did you receive that instruction
ML "I don't recall that exact date but it's going to be before the 25 July"
CE so you received the instruction before she went sick

ickky · 19/11/2025 12:56

From NW

ML wouldn't be until we got the sick note - sick note would have been received and I would have been instructed to put SM on SSP
[CE goes to the bundle]

CE seems like you got the sick note on 3 Aug
ML yes
CE quite apparent you'd never put anyone on SSP before
ML correct
CE so from when you started in 2022 and you taking advice from Bethany O'Neill re SM you would not have put someone on SSP
ML there are v few employees...

ProfPerfectlySoftButter · 19/11/2025 12:56

Ooh well spotted Charlotte!

LM is going to be an interesting witness.

From earlier:
Laurence McKeown (LM) weighs in: "I totally agree. As you say Mark, it doesn't affect her employment rights but it removes her, and the festival, from the issue. People would be totally justified in refusing to work With her but we shouldn't
put them in that position. I looked at her comments on YouTube. - appalling."

ProfessorBoiledbeetle · 19/11/2025 12:57

Lunch time

ickky · 19/11/2025 12:58

From NW

... I don't recall anyone being off sick and sending in a sick note in my time there
J how many employees did you administer
ML three
CE no further qs
SD no re-ex
[evidence ends. lunch]

weegielass · 19/11/2025 12:58

Charlotte Elves looks like an older version of my DDs pal. Just saying. So I imagine her speaking and moving the same, in my head.

ProfessorBinturong · 19/11/2025 13:00

Break til 1.30, then expected approx 15 mins for LMcK. Then all done.

Thursday off. Oral submissions Friday.

Weneedmoreheretics · 19/11/2025 13:02

I agree, that sounds spot on, I grew up there, I can easily visualise the whole scenario, rotten to the core, a right disgusting shower of wimmin.

ProfPerfectlySoftButter · 19/11/2025 13:04

Didn't we establish upthread that 3=many?

DarkNovemberBringsTheFog · 19/11/2025 13:10

ProfessorEmeritaVeraAtkins · 19/11/2025 12:50

And I was right, a quick Google confirms. I'm not often right.

Nah, you’re gaslighting me.

I used to have this quoted on my (Maths) classroom, it must be right.

Edit: If there were the eight creatures of the Indus, who were they?
Also,

No, it was 2 = many.

JeRevien · 19/11/2025 13:11

Is anyone getting a sense of how its going? It doesn't feel like the other side are making such massive tits of themselves as they have on other tribunals I have followed.

SeniorWranglerStanfreyPock · 19/11/2025 13:13

ProfessorEmeritaVeraAtkins · 19/11/2025 12:48

I always thought is was the eight creatures...

After a complex series of calculations involving taking my shoes and socks off I can confirm that:
0 = none, EXCEPT when the sum involves actual occurrences of transphobic speech, when 0 = many

ProfessorBinturong · 19/11/2025 13:17

possomblossom · 19/11/2025 11:54

Or even "one, two, skip a few, many, very many, a HUNDRED!"

No skipping. It was agreed that 2 is 2, and 3 is many.

VisitingInkMonitor · 19/11/2025 13:21

Massive thanks to everyone posting and commenting on this.

Question from me - on what basis is everyone on both sides implying that the complaint from the filmmaker that shouldn’t be named is made up? I feel like I’ve missed something important

As an aside I had to fire someone over 20 years ago. It took six months and was the most stressful thing I have ever had to do. I can remember who was in the room and even what I was wearing for every difficult conversation that was had. It was so stressful and I was so concerned about making sure I got everything right. I really struggle to believe that BFF colleagues can’t even remember who they spoke to a matter of months ago.

ProfessorDameOriginalHorticulturalGnuCBE · 19/11/2025 13:24

I can't believe they are being paid from public grants etc to be so bigly busy and don't seem to achieve much, nor remember what they were doing to be so bigly busy.

weegielass · 19/11/2025 13:25

NW said the court is much busier with observers today, why today and not other days I wonder. They could have been there for the professor / dr / judge identity drama, which was much more fun than today.

"The Harappan seal-tablets depict a number of animals, but eight are most common. Four of these are wild animals of the grasslands: rhinoceros, elephant, buffalo, and tiger. These are in a minority within the entire sample of seal-tablets. The other four animals are domesticates: goat, zebu (Fig. 6), shorthorn bullock, and the so-called unicorn bull (Fig. 7a)."

TheRevDocProfKittyWilkinsonTSB · 19/11/2025 13:29

I don't think any of the witnesses for BFF have come across as honest decent people at all.
I can't imagine that the next one will be any improvement.
Concerning.

ProfessorBinturong · 19/11/2025 13:30

Don't know why BFF needed this whole investigation malarkey. Sara and supporters are sharing Tunnocks in the waiting room - what more proof is needed?

weegielass · 19/11/2025 13:31

oooo thanks to NWs last tweet now I know why the court is packed today.

It does increasingly suggest that nationally a scary number of organisation managements need firing for various reasons, not least their staggeringly (claimed) extensive incompetence.

If we're wondering where the rumblings have got to, I miss the 'noise in the system'.

I bought some dark chocolate Tunnocks teacakes yesterday (how did I not know about these???!!!).

I shall now eat one in solidarity.
