Now that the BBC has been forced to accept their bias and everyone seems to be u-turning, on both gender and the Isreal/Palestine war, how can the Guardian continue to employ and therefore support the views of Owen Jones?

The BBC is meant to be neutral, newspapers don't need to be neutral and people have a choice whether to spend their money on them unlike the licence fee.

It is galling still, however, how they’re too sanctimonious to acknowledge their own bias and misinformation. It’s all “truth is sacred” while blatantly lying.

Owen has lost the plot and is basically now a Middle East advocate. Which proves my suspicion that it’s not about him advocating FOR anyone because he believes in them, just supporting whoever is the enemy of the West because he despises it. Which is odd as the West is one of the few areas he could live without persecution due to his sexuality. I really think for some people Gaza is a mental illness (and I’m not saying that flippantly), and he’s one of them.

@Davros I have found it is not, but lots say it is. I did not have a TV for 4 years and did not pay and was harassed so thoroughly, that I would have paid £200 to make them go away.

In 2019 non payment of TV licence was responsibly for 23% of prosecutions of women, in 2023 12%.

He writes regular columns for the Graun. I'm sure the paper pays him for them.

I agree with this actually, he is suffering from a mental derangement I feel.

He is quite an extreme example but he's far from alone, unfortunately. They must have utterly miserable lives, stewing away constantly in their own hate and bile while the rest of us just get on with our lives.

That's not fair. He can also be easily identified as 'YouTuber Owen Jones', as per that Douglas Murray article a few years ago.
