'A trans woman who threatened to 'batter' a top surgeon after she carried out her gender reassignment surgery is facing jail.
Vivienne Taylor, 28, bombarded Tina Rashid with unwanted emails, and even turned up at her workplace several times claiming she had booked an appointment.
Ms Rashid, who specialises in surgery for trans women at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, carried out Taylor's gender reassignment surgery in 2021, Westminster Magistrates' Court heard.
The surgeon realised there were 'a large number of photographs' of herself on Taylor's phone, who was later discharged from hospital but returned after suffering 'complications' believed to be 'self-inflicted', Prosecutor Jonathan Bryan told the court.
'The defendant was insisting that she be treated by the same surgeon. She threatened to kill herself if she wasn't dealt with by that surgeon,' Mr Bryan said.'

'Taylor turned up for invented appointments five more times before sending Ms Rashid a threatening email on November 2.
Taylor said she 'would batter her and shag her partner', the prosecutor told the court.'

Another TIM whose transition has not improved their mental health.

HollerWithTheRinsinSound · 11/11/2025 13:40

Well he sounds like a pleasant chap /s

I would have imagined there to be some sort of counselling or psychological evaluation as part of any cosmetic surgery, as best practice, but perhaps not a vigorous process in this case.

TheAutumnalCrow · 11/11/2025 13:52

Someone in the comments says it’s the TIM formerly known as Luna Spain from the Starbucks incident, but I’m not so sure?

solerolover · 11/11/2025 14:59

That picture is a jumpscare, crikey. He's clearly off his rocker and transitioning hasn't done anything to alleviate his mental health problems. I feel really sorry for Dr Rashid, she must have been terrified, having to deal with such an incredibly unstable patient.

minipie · 11/11/2025 15:02

Maybe, just maybe, there ought to be more psychological evaluations and therapy before any gender reassignment surgeries are carried out.

Exactly. Its almost as if having the surgery doesnt fix the actual (mental health) problem isnt it?

Coatsoff42 · 11/11/2025 15:07

Stalking and threatening women with violence, such feminine crimes. I can see why they truly must be a woman on the inside, and not a bog standard entitled red flag of a man.

I've got my phone on colour invert at present as with a napping child.

It makes it even more starkly obvious. You've got to try it 😳

Surely the psychological evaluation should be "if their mental health is so poor that they want their bits hacked off then we should not hack their bits off"?

Quite!

Maybe this incident will also lead the surgeon to evaluate whether her specialism is ethically and morally sound, or whether it is based purely on the economics.

ArabellaSaurus · 11/11/2025 16:29

I would consider most surgeons in this field to know the answer to that very well, Shortshrift.

The Office Jim GIF

First and last time doing that, thank you very much!😯

I'm so scared to know what the nature of these "self inflicted" injuries are. 😯

Bluebootsgreenboots · 11/11/2025 17:13

When I read the thread title I knew straight away the sex of the 2 people involved. TW = male. Surgeon = female. Harassing a man is no fun for a TW, they go for the women.

Apparently there are some people out there who identify as amputees, hate their left leg (or whatever) and want it removed to fit their self identity.

We don’t chop their legs off. Just saying.

Another TIM whose transition has not improved their mental health.

Exactly. Why is he not living his best life, full of love and sisterliness for his fellow women?

Oh wait.

BundleBoogie · 11/11/2025 18:14

I do hope his surgeon set his expectations clearly ahead of any procedures though. There is no surgery that will ever make him look like a woman unfortunately and that should have been made crystal clear.

It is clear that the ethics of these surgeries are extremely questionable.

ArabellaSaurus · 11/11/2025 18:24

I had missed this previously:

'Ms Rashid is a senior consultant urological surgeon with a specialism in genital surgery for trans women, and she is the National Clinical Lead for Gender Surgery. '

93 FOIs from Taylor. At a glance, they all seem to involve 'trans' or 'gender' issues.

'complications' believed to be 'self-inflicted'

I can't imagine any doctor wanting to treat him now.

I hope she improves the mental health screening she requires ahead of surgery. Or preferably stops doing it altogether.

They at the very least need to reinstate the declaration they had to sign to say “I understand this does not make me a woman” (or words to that effect). Like the old ‘transsexuals’ had to.

How bad is the mental health of a man who realises his penis has been surgically rearranged going to get when he realises he’s still not a woman and is not allowed in women’s spaces? This isn’t going to go well.

unsync · 11/11/2025 19:02

Fancy! A man behaving in a stereotypically male fashion, with threats of violence and sexual aggression. 🙄

minipie · 11/11/2025 15:02

Indeed.

The TiMs won’t like that though as it implies they have mental health issues (like, delusions…) and aren’t actually just ‘in the wrong body’ and we can’t have facts like that interfering with their fantasy, can we?
