Hobbycraft were acquired by Modella Capital last year, servers & managers insulting & refusing to serve customers because of political views or philosophical beliefs that are WORIADS doesn't seem to be in accord with Modella's "proven capabilities in turnaround and restructuring to restore and develop future growth and value".
They could do with looking carefully at Hobbycraft's recruitment processes. A lot of older managers got their heads turned by the idea of algorithmic recruitment services, problem is, an algorithm can only find you qualified candidates, not necessarily suitable candidates.

Store ‘prides itself on DEI’ yet tolerates an employee wearing a badger that basically says they won’t serve a customer with philosophical or political beliefs that are different to theirs.

What a commitment this employee of Hobbycraft has to diversity (no diversity of views tolerated in Hobbycraft!), equity (no equity of access to Hobbycraft if you have different beliefs to me!) and inclusion (you’re different to me, so get the hell out of Hobbycraft!).
