From TT

Conveys impressoin that if she has to crowd fund and what she fears from that may happen (names public) she may be subject to disp action
AL - again sound poor
NC - can you see how she may fear from her job

I do have some sympathies with these companies who all along have been given terrible advice and genuinely believed that TWAW was the law and have now been blindsided by the Supreme Court ruling. I would love to see some of them start suing Stonewall and the other groups that have made it their mission to spread their wrong interpretation of the law.

No. They know what the law is. Even if they got advice which was unlawful by dodgy actors previously, they know what it is after SC judgement. They aren’t complying with the law still. Fronting with the guff that it is ‘so, so complicated’. You’d have thought giving men who wish to go into women’s intimate spaces would have given more reflection than ‘whatever you want, mate’.

Rightsraptor · 03/10/2025 14:21

It's not about safety for the most part anyway. It's about privacy & dignity. (referring to all males visiting Leonardo being 'safe')

GCITC · 03/10/2025 14:17

I wonder whether these secret meetings take place in secret toilets?

The way I heard it on TransReddit, this is the headquarters of the conspiracy/ resistance. (opinions may vary.) That's why I joined! I'm now wondering if there's another level where women gather in children's play areas and conspiciously unwrap Tunnocks wafers or tea cakes to identify each other. I'm trying to work out which one is the higher qualification or if I'd need to take both.

Sorry, but it's either laugh or cry right now.

Ignorance of the law is no defence.
Especially when you're talking about employment law and a large HR department.
Even worse. They now know the law but are trying to find a way around having to follow it.
And underlining all of this is not only a lack of care about women but actual contempt for women.

Love your username 😍

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 03/10/2025 14:22

That letter is outrageous.

murasaki · 03/10/2025 14:22

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 03/10/2025 14:15

I’ve never heard well organised said as an insult before!

It's hilarious. Now they are angry because some people think using the legal system is unfair and seemingly more effective than threatening women while waving badly painted placards.

CriticalCondition · 03/10/2025 14:23

NC just described the letter as menacing.

MarieDeGournay · 03/10/2025 14:23

NC is doing a good job of showing what happens when a woman employee makes a complaint to the wonderfully inclusive Leonardo..

Chariothorses · 03/10/2025 14:23

is the letter available for us to see anywhere?

MyrtleLion · 03/10/2025 14:24

From TT

AL - [missed]
NC - she said if I have to crowd fund...then have to generate interest. Do you feel this is perfectly legitimate

She has said she may have to do this thing, if I have to do this thing, there are certain conseq that will inev flow and further consequences that it may draw in attenion. She is making a prediction, not a threat.

CriticalCondition · 03/10/2025 14:24

Andy is a very, very slow reader.

Easytoconfuse · 03/10/2025 14:24

murasaki · 03/10/2025 14:22

It's hilarious. Now they are angry because some people think using the legal system is unfair and seemingly more effective than threatening women while waving badly painted placards.

Worse still, they keep winning and they're not being kind and giving us what we want. Therefore we are nasty people who, to quote a certain KC in the Sandie Peggie tribunal 'don't deserve the protection of the Equality Act.'

And a lot of us haven't got started yet.

Rightsraptor · 03/10/2025 14:25

Is this the letter where Maria was told Crowdfunding for a case would be bringing the company into disrepute? As though they aren't doing that off their own bat.

MyrtleLion · 03/10/2025 14:25

From TT

AL - I am not the author of this.
NC - 'if what you fear what happens, does happen we may need to take dis action. That's pretty threatening isn't it.
NC asks AL to read p77
apologies for lack of AL replies, the mic sound is unclear and I don't want to mis-quote

Paused for AL to read p77

MarieDeGournay · 03/10/2025 14:25

TT is unable to hear AL properly, which is a shame, these are answers I'd really really love to hear!

FeralWoman · 03/10/2025 14:26

I wonder if any journalists are going to go get transcripts of anything in the bundle.

Mmmnotsure · 03/10/2025 14:26

CriticalCondition · 03/10/2025 14:24

Andy is a very, very slow reader.

Colour me surprised

MyrtleLion · 03/10/2025 14:26

CriticalCondition · 03/10/2025 14:24

Andy is a very, very slow reader.

Which is helpful because TT are tweeting very fast today.

Boiledbeetle · 03/10/2025 14:26

I can't bear it when he has to read something. It's mind blowingly slow going

MyrtleLion · 03/10/2025 14:26

From TT

NC -so that points out that the threats amounted to victimisation but says won't add victimisation to the claim.
NC - p80 on L behalf, please read

whatwouldafeministdo · 03/10/2025 14:27

I mean the real complaint is just that women are being treated in the law as actual human beings and not just resources for men to use and abuse as they see fit. That's their basic gripe.

Which is why women need the law and need to ensure the law is followed.

And as for Andy - does he realise the woeful rape conviction statistics? Most men who commit rape don't get convicted which is (partially) why women need single sex spaces.

Would any of you want to work at Leonardo after this? I wouldn't. I wouldn't want my daughters there either with a head of people that's all about the men.

ickky · 03/10/2025 14:27

I'm amazed that TT can hear as much as they do, they must have massive earholes.

See, Leonardo do care about diversity, they've given him a high powered job when he's hard of reading...
