From TT

Conveys impressoin that if she has to crowd fund and what she fears from that may happen (names public) she may be subject to disp action
AL - again sound poor
NC - can you see how she may fear from her job

Will we be able to view the bundles like we did in SPs ET?

I don't doubt that there are some very bright engineers. Andy has done nothing to lead me to believe he is one of them. He has no problem with words. He uses a lot of them. They are nearly all bollocks and he doesn't understand some of them.

He starts a lot of his sentences with ‘Again…’

It’s annoying me that’s the only bloody thing i can hear.

FeralWoman · 03/10/2025 14:45

MyrtleLion · 03/10/2025 14:44

As an apprentice in the 1970s he wasn't bright enough to get a degree. He's a time-served company man.

Wait, he doesn’t have an engineering degree? No Bachelor degree?

Boiledbeetle · 03/10/2025 14:45

Andy is reading

Again.

SternJoyousBeev2 · 03/10/2025 14:46

Andy shouldn’t be surprised if he finds a packet of Tunes on his desk on Monday morning.

NC -you say you have been following law but you must have known since April SC ruling, you must have known
AL - [muffled] we are consulting with TUs in terms of how we deal with this and commitment to wait and see....
NC so not making decision straight away
AL managing the situation until we are sure what we are doing isn't knee jerk

NC you do understand a code of practice isn't the law
so if once you finally understood the guidance and that means women only spaces reserved for women, that means you are breaking the law not only since April but when it became law.
AL [muffled]
NC p509 from C Morris

Lots of engineers are dyslexic ime - it's a good career for people who are very bright but not that good with words. In this case, I'm guessing NC-induced panic is a more likely explanation!

Is he an engineer?

We didn't see any bundles in Sandie Peggie's ET.

Naomi - after the SC judgment or some time after, did you realise...

Also Naomi - when you finally understood the guidance...

Perhaps we are not the only ones to comment on perceived speed and ability to read and understand.

lcakethereforeIam · 03/10/2025 14:46

I've got to go grocery shopping 😔

I'll have to buy some Tunnocks to console myself.

He'll have his City and Guilds certificates most likely

.At least he's not starting sentences with 'So...' 😬

He might be a very intelligent man, the fact that he has risen through the ranks like this implies that he has something going for him. But if there's one thing we know it's that very intelligent people can have the sensible part of their brains eroded and deactivated when it comes to sex and gender.

As an apprentice in the 1970s he wasn't bright enough to get a degree. He's a time-served company man.

That is unfair as a generalisation.

In the 1970s lots of people didn't have the opportunity to go to university.
Lots of bright people in engineering started as apprentices and worked their way up.

He may well be everything you say, but I worked for a similar company and some of the ex apprentices went on to be very competent senior people.

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 03/10/2025 14:50

AL: Never heard ‘terf’ before.

NC: your pants are on fire, bro

ickky · 03/10/2025 14:50

Al has never heard the term TERF

Boiledbeetle · 03/10/2025 14:50

NC Bearing in mind you've made a solemn promise to tell the truth...

GCITC · 03/10/2025 14:50

NC left speechless after AL says he's never heard the term terf.

I have one of those! I was always very proud of it as it proved that, unlike my only-uni-educated colleagues, I knew which end of a soldering iron was which😁

And it’s probably hard to read quickly when a lot of your mind is occupied going ‘oh shit oh shit oh shit’… which I assume his is.
