Attack on Wes Streetings office

i didn't see about this until i saw that Sparkles was promoting the Bashback organisation on X.

So i checked Bashback's Bluesky account to see what's what and saw this conversation (see image)

Can we now assume that due to actual property damage the police will get involved? against a politician will they class it as terrorism? Some replies said things like "i wasn't in favour but now i see how much sympathy the action got, i've changed my mind" (and then suggested new targets)

I find it interesting that actual damage and "bashback" is being promoted. Bashback seems to suggest there has been some bashing. Is that true? have people been violent against trans people and i haven't seen the news? As has been pointed out elsewhere, is this because they don't understand common english language words so that "words written on the intenet" really does equal "actual violence" in their minds? (sorry if there is a thread, i couldn't find one)

Who is Sparkles? Who is Bumblebea? Some context would be welcome.

Unless there is unreported evidence of Wes Streeting “bashing” any transgender people, then it isn’t a “bashback” - it is plain simple violence and criminal damage. Even with admissions on social media, the police won’t act, as the perpetrators have a trans-out-of-jail card, regardless of their violence…

Datun · 01/10/2025 10:20

Violence is all they have left.

Brefugee · 01/10/2025 10:23

It's bonkers though. (there are comparisons being made with Sufragettes by the way, which i am finding very distasteful)

But an organisation that threatens violence, breaks windows and openly calls for more of it, needs to be investigated by the police. If grannies can be arrested for holding signs, that is the least i expect. But as soon as the word "trans" gets involved, it seems anything the police might do gets corrupted into not doing anything.

Unless you are 100% supportive, you're an enemy.

And, of course, no one is going to be 100% supportive, as they realise how batshit this is.

Therefore, the pool of people being targeted is just increasing, until eventually, it will include almost everybody

I fecking hope so, he's been posting photos of himself in ladies loos since the ruling as well.
I did try to raise it with the police in his area and after I said I didn't know which loos they were I was told I had to raise it with the police in my area.

"Sophie sparkles" was a Scottish green party candidate. Not sure what he does for a living now, but his hobby seems to be taking photos of himself in the ladies. He posted a thumbs up after Graham Linehan was arrested as well

TheTealPanda · 01/10/2025 10:37

Trantifa are a dangerous terror group, the government needs to proscribe them as such immediately.

He's also the one behind the GLP's action against Sarah Phillimore, who have portrayed him as vulnerable and afraid.

The “bashing” that they are “bashing back” against is quite simply hyperbole at being told no occasionally.

noblegiraffe · 01/10/2025 13:51

That action guide is very similar to the action guide of Palestine Action. Probably the same people finding a new excuse to attack things with sledgehammers.

They're vulnerable and afraid, but we're alarmist or bigoted.

Columbidae · 01/10/2025 14:24

The attack on the office had some mentions on social media and local news at the time. I don't know if anything has been addressed re. the perpetrators since. There's probably things going on behind the scenes.

Here's the thread on it from the time:

And we're the abusive ones too, apparently.

I don't think I've ever threatened to "do a shite" on somebody, don't know about the rest of you...?

About 6 foot and wearing his size 9 Mary Janes.

Instructions · 01/10/2025 18:47

So vulnerable eh

SirEctor · 01/10/2025 18:53

With two MPs assassinated in the past decade, I'd hope and assume that any violence against our elected representatives would be taken extremely seriously indeed.

Obviously I don't know what investigations are going on behind the scenes but if the perpetrators get away with it they will only be emboldened.

Jeez! And they complain we're the ones making TRAs look bad...

finallygettingit · 01/10/2025 18:56

amazing that male body language is so obvious even when the man is more or less just standing there with a megaphone

PriOn1 · 01/10/2025 21:32

The number of abusive men at the forefront of transactivism is shocking.

Even more shocking is that other people, including women, give them a free pass.

It is a visceral reminder of how easy it is for abusive men to persuade the public that somehow they are the victims, even as they threaten and then perform violent acts.
