Figured it was my turn for once!

Plus this way I beat the rush to the bar.

Now I must return to the previous thread to relocate my Tunnock's secret stash.

Serve yourselves until the bar gerbils arrive.

On further reflection, I don't think android's picture is a photo at all. I think it us part of her dastardly plan to 'play' in her lab.

Run banned, run lemon. I declare you divorced for the sake of species-kind. 😮

Bannedontherun · 30/08/2025 08:04

I married a hedgehog!!!!! Oh yes i forgot i used to be one.

Lemons are a natural deterrent to skunks, we really do not like citrus.

So sadly lemon it is over.

I'm getting Dr Oetker Ristorante pizza ads and Lufthansa. I make my own pizzas so that's wasted on me but I do need to book a Lufthansa flight for December soon but I would have done that anyway without prompting. Also, Lotto thinks I should be a millionaire which I do agree with.

FuzzyPuffling · 30/08/2025 10:02

I'm getting " things to do with babies" ads now. That proves how little the algorithm knows me. If it was kittens, however....

MarieDeGournay · 30/08/2025 10:35

I'm getting 'MAMMOTION YUKA Perimeter Wire Free Robot Lawn Mowers' which look super and probably well worth the €2k price tag...

I'm also getting autumn breaks in nice hotels, I wouldn't mind being whisked off for a nice break somewhere - it looks like there might be a couple of Stockingers on the rebound who'd be interested in a weekend away....Grin

Can we allow inter- species marriages? Isn't that where android's experiments started?
<worries for the future of the Bluestocking >

Me and android tried a machine/ beetle marriage, and that ended in divorce before we even got to the presents!

Boily, can I get serious for a moment and send a hug about your 17-yr-old cat? You are making sure he is comfortable now he needs extra care, he wants for nothing, he is a very very lucky cat to be so lovingly and patiently cared for.
That's the important thing to hold on to as you see time catching up with himFlowers

Yes. It can be tough caring for our faithful old companions. My last dog got to nearly 17, I don’t think I could go through it again physically or emotionally.

I want a lovely peaceful time in the woods today. Maybe a picnic with a few friends. All the shouting and upset and general willy-waving all over mumsnet is doing my snout swede nut head in.

Returning to the topic of small pieces of plastic😃
Somebody upthread - sorry I can't remember who - suggested that the Tinynork Twins might like to scale Peak Woo and plant a suffragette flat at the summit.
The Tinynork Twins are, as you may recall, the two scantily-clad scale model figures which were included in a set of otherwise normally-clad miniatures - naked or scantily-clad women seems to be an unwritten rule in the scale model people world 😠

Mission accomplished! They conquered the previously impossible north face of Peak Woo, without oxygen, or specialist equipment! Or equipment of any kind, in fact with hardly any clothes on at all! And in high heels, earning themselves the Ginger Rogers Mountaineering Award for 2025!

My crafting skills are low. However, I noticed yesterday while dusting the box room this pair of pottery items, painted 20 years ago on a wet afternoon on holiday in wales, the trinket box by 6yo DD and the other by me and DH.

I don’t know how long it will take for the images to show up but there is a reason for this show&tell…who needs AI?Grin

Brilliant! Halo

MyrtleLion · 30/08/2025 12:05

I am very impressed! I once climbed the waterfall at Masham in fashion boots which had a block heel, so climbing Peak Woo is amazing.

I love that Errol once created Colin and Errol in pottery! Must have been a premonition.

I would join inky and crew in the woods, but I have a poorly leg 💙

Hurrah for the Tinynork Twins!

In the spirit of crafty sharing, here's a plate I painted a few weeks ago. Its based on my garden and features the Fuzzycats.

I am admiring the craftiness, I mean the crafting skills, of Bluestockingers!

I walked past a bookshop selling signed copies of “Skye the Puffling” this morning. Thought of you.

I'm staying with my dad at the moment, and he has a puffin (carved and painted) in the bathroom. But I have tried not to think of you when going to the toilet.

I thought I was loved.
I thought I belonged.
It is all over now.
Skunks smell.

Magpiecomplex · 30/08/2025 14:31

Look on the bright side, Lemon - you're now free to hook up with other citrus themed beings. I hear Boily has a friend who likes lemon drizzle cake?

Maybe you could take up a craft to forget your heartbreak?😀

Aw lemon, you're still loved in the Bluestocking. And you lasted longer than Android and Boily.

And now you can claim you're the Only Hedgehog.
