Figured it was my turn for once!

Plus this way I beat the rush to the bar.

Now I must return to the previous thread to relocate my Tunnock's secret stash.

Serve yourselves until the bar gerbils arrive.

Hmmm. Sounds weird. Weird like I find the idea of ruining ice cream by putting half-cooked biscuit dough in it weird. Also a waste of expensive pistachios. But I'm not big on sweet stuff and quite possibly a chocolate pleb. Milk chocolate with nuts and raisins is fine by me.

FuzzyPuffling · 26/08/2025 18:14

Totally with you on the cookie dough in ice cream front, FourthInstar. I like my biscuits cooked and crispy.

DeanElderberry · 26/08/2025 18:16

Fine for me too, and the wheat allergy rules out the Dubai chocolate and the cookie dough (which sounds gross). I like Lidl's milk choc with little crisp peppermint shards, but after overeating through the summer I'm trying to get myself back to a place of chocolate only on Sundays.

FuzzyPuffling · 26/08/2025 18:19

Me too Dean, especially now the need for daily ice cream is reducing.

Boiledbeetle · 26/08/2025 19:01

Tickets please.

I want to be 8 and skateboarding on a train.

Tell him about the distilleries. You could swing by the Tunnock shop.

Eta addressed to Woley. Who might not see this if she's on her way to Oban.

MyrtleLion · 26/08/2025 19:11

Lindt sea salt dark chocolate. That is all.

Magpiecomplex · 26/08/2025 19:24

I'm knackered and have a sore throat, have the gerbils got the hot chocolate bowser ready for me?

No, no, this is absolutely fine. Glug glug...

AlexandraLeaving · 26/08/2025 20:29

Please can I have a pint of your best gin please bar gerbil? It’s been a long old day including 7 hours in a train and several hours ripping back and then redoing some fair isle knitting.

Apologies, Grindle has been on an alcohol awareness course and is currently trying to convert all the customers to abstinence. I'll have a word with her.

Dear Grindle, please may I have a lemonade?

lcakethereforeIam · 26/08/2025 20:46

Grindle clearly doesn't know about the special properties of Bluestocking alcohol.

I could not see them over the GROWN ADULTS WATCHING FILMS AND MAKING VIDEO CALLS OUT LOUD.

OK can someone remove Grindle from duty and get Gloria, yes I know it's supposed to be her night off, to replace her.

I sort of want to hear what Grindle thinks of drinking hot chocolate straight from the bowser...

Thank you Grindle (or grinder as auto carrot preferred…). I’m afraid I’m going to focus on the gin and you can reuse your pamphlet on something else. Bessie is helping sort my knitting so hopefully the cares of the day will soon melt away.

We have Saturday night chocolate in our house, usually consumed while watching a movie. Hot chocolate doesn't count as chocolate, especially the calorie-free hot chocolate available here in the Blluestocking.

Bannedontherun · 26/08/2025 21:07

Can i have a pint of methylated spirits please, with ice and a slice and a dash of tonic, i have had one hell of a weekend regarding our canal boat

FuzzyPuffling · 26/08/2025 21:13

I'm watching sewing bee.
A glass of water will do just fine please Gloria or Grindle. From the tap; none of your fancy stuff.

DeanElderberry · 26/08/2025 21:21

psssst, my deep well water filtered through old red sandstone comes out of the tap. Very nice too.
