https://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2025-08-20/paedophile-claims-he-felt-like-teenager-trapped-in-mans-body.

His Honour Judge Grey said: “The comment about being a 17-year-old in a 43-year-old’s body is self-serving rubbish.
"You are a 43-year-old self-serving male, who puts yourself and your own desires first, always.

Atleast nobody took him seriously i wonderd how long it would take for a man to try this on

SmugglersHaunt · 20/08/2025 19:34

43-year-old man pretending to be a teenager = self-serving rubbish
43-year-old man pretending to be a woman = you’re so brave queen/doll/most oppressed person to have ever walked the Earth

I’m a 67yr old trapped in a 40yr old body, can I retire and draw my pension now please? No, didn’t think so.

Glad the judge saw through the bullshit.

Daleksatemyshed · 20/08/2025 19:40

So he identified as a teenager? I'm tired of this self obsessed shit

VaddaABeetch · 20/08/2025 19:45

At weekends I identify as a 25 year old.

Weekdays I’m 67 & a pensioner.

Non binary age wise

Absentmindedsmile · 20/08/2025 19:49

If only the paedo had slipped a dress on and called himself Shauna. He’d be back sipping his coffee in Starbucks / watching child porn, already.

Ah but weren't we lectured extensively on a thread last week that people claiming to be "trans-age" didn't happen?

Perhaps we'll have to add it to the ever-growing list of things that 'never happen'.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 20/08/2025 22:10

I’m a size 8 trapped in a size 14 body.

Relabel all the size 14s immediately, or I’ll get triggered. Not to do so is literal violence.

Well there's always Stefonknee.

BeLemonNow · 20/08/2025 22:35

I've tried to argue I'm "living as a pensioner" and should be eligible for my pension, but alas no luck.

I've got an allotment, say things like "in my day we", have dodgy joints and attend aqua aerobics. Once I was invited to over 60s badminton.

Such bigotry imho #ageisjustanumber . I'm far more of a pensioner than many pensioners I know. One runs marathons!

TrainedByCats · 20/08/2025 22:58

When men started saying they were women trapped in a male body it was felt to be just as ridiculous, tbh it felt too ridiculous protesting it originally as surely it would never be taken seriously.

That was the example given but apparently according to Tandora, Stefoknee doesn't count because he was reported on in the Daily Mail 🙄

murasaki · 20/08/2025 23:11

Tandora's arguments tended to have the structural integrity of an economy brand tissue.

True.

The 'gender reassignment' characteristic was won by creation of the term 'gender', that purports to mean both 'sex' and 'a thought' at the same time, depending on the light.

If people can identify as the opposite sex, and be taken seriously, its absurd to suggest they can't identify as a different age.

Venalopolos · 21/08/2025 08:05

The most bizarre thing here is we do commonly accept that there are young people stuck in the bodies of old people (to continue to run the phrasing). I have a thirty year old family member with learning difficulties that has the development age of a 4 year old.

But we still accept that he is actually 30. He can’t turn up to Septembers reception class and expect to be accepted in to play with the kids.

borntobequiet · 21/08/2025 08:11

Absolutely, Anyone physically and mentally fit enough can genuinely “live as” someone much younger, entirely without medical intervention. Their appearance, interests, ability to continue working into old age can be similar to that of someone a decade or more younger. I offer myself as a good example.

EmpressaurusKitty · 21/08/2025 08:20

The body composition fitness test machine at my gym tells me my body’s ’metabolic age’ is 10 years younger than my actual age.

I’d love to be 10 years younger but with nothing else changed. I could go around telling people I was 41, but it wouldn’t change my birthdate, when I’m likely to retire or anything else.

JamieCannister · 21/08/2025 09:02

I can't remember who / where, but listening to or reading something recently I think they were saying that a lot of "issues" come from childhood trauma, and that your ideas of sex can be set young as a result. I have a degree of sympathy with the idea that a paedophile can be a victim as much as a predator, and that (sexually at least) he feels trapped in a teenage body (the body that - for example - was raped when he was 12).

None of this alters two things -

People who express paedophilic tendencies need high levels of support and incredibly intense monitoring.

People who commit paedophilic acts have no excuse, and punishments need to be much tougher. (I would be tempted to suggest chemical castration plus 40 years in prison, or "life means life" as a starting point, but I am open to reasons why we should be a little less tough in certain circumstances.

JamieCannister · 21/08/2025 09:11

"(sexually at least) he feels trapped in a teenage body"

Just to clarify.... I don;t have sympathy with the idea that he might genuinely feel like he is a teenager or that "trapped in the wrong body" is a concept that makes any sense at all... but I do have sympathy with the idea that the truth might be that as of a result of serious trauma his primary sexual responses are to young teens or kids. He is not "trapped in a teenage body", but he might have hard-wired sexual responses that would be normal were he still a young teenager, but are despicable/evil when in the head of an adult (or even an older teen).

Igmum · 21/08/2025 09:28

Thank heavens the mother spotted it and took over. That poor girl.

I think this is an important point. It is possible to have compassion for someone and make accommodations for them without denying reality or putting others at risk. But it means recognising their disability/mental illness and being honest with the individual - and, obviously, having a sensible and proportionate approach to safeguarding.

murasaki · 20/08/2025 23:11

Tandora's arguments tended to have the structural integrity of an economy brand tissue.

But it's a medical condition. There's lots of research papers on the subject. They just are who they are.

Oh sorry when we say the same thing (and yes there are lots of papers) about paedos it doesn't quite get the same degree of sympathy does it?

RedToothBrush · 21/08/2025 09:47

We can't say that though because that's not acceptable. It'll probably get deleted.

Unfortunately the reality is we can use the exact same argument without safeguarding in one area but we can't in another.

Even though we are evidence and scholarly articles pretty much making the same point.

It's just that one has got a certain amount of public support (but certainly not a majority consensus) and the other remains a complete social taboo.
