Given the German legislature's bonkers decision last year (that allows 14 year old children to change their names and adults to apply for that for children even younger), let's hope this is their Sturgeon moment.

But more importantly than that, let's hope the female inmates at Chemnitz remain safe from this monstrous man. He'll be easy to spot, what with his full lady-moustache and repellent views.

of course, this never happens and no one would ever do this.

However, Dennis Cernota, a senior prosecutor in Saxony, said that Liebich would be interviewed upon arrival to check whether it was appropriate for him to be placed among female prisoners. If it is decided that Liebich poses a threat to other inmates, or to law and order inside the prison, he may be transferred, she added.

What on earth kind of interview will reliably determine whether a man is safe to be placed among female prisoners??

“Herr Liebich, are you planning to sexually harass, bully or rape any women while you’re here?”

“No, pinky promise I won’t honest guv”.

“OK, the word of a convicted criminal is good enough for me, women stop being bigots!”

To be fair, the poor politicians who put this new legislation in place might be realising that they are in a delicate situation. They should consider calling in someone with experience for advice on how to handle it.

I got the impression, on reading that, that this is a policy the neo-nazis have decided on. If any others are jailed in the future I wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly decide that they have lady brains. It's win-win for them. They get a cushier prison, they think they'll be at the top of the pecking order, might get sex, and show up this stupid law.

This is ringing a bell. I'm sure there's been a thread about this case, or a similar one, on here a while back.

The article says that he is male in German criminal law and a woman in civil law. Can this be right? He has two different legal sexes plus one actual sex? That's a bit multitudinous.

Also wanted to say, I love his look. If he was just being gender non-conformist, rather than lying about his sex (and if he wasn't a Nazi, obvs) I would give him a hug for it.

I don’t think it’s here nor there. Because it forces TRAs to openly admit their policy of self-ID is flawed.

When they chant “trans women are women!” they want to project the idea that the men they’re referring to are all lovely, oppressed, dysphoric sufferers who just want to pee. These sorts of stories force them to effectively chant “Neo Nazi trans women are women!” and “rapist trans women are women!” and “murderer trans women are women!

Of course men shouldn’t be in women’s prisons anyway, but making TRAs admit (not that they do) that loopholes will be exploited or making legislators see past this notion of sad tragic males who need to be treated as a vulnerable group is important, IMO.

Sure, But I was thinking more of equality under the law. The law should apply equally to everyone, including neo-Nazis. So if you were previously OK with a law, but now have misgivings because you see it's being exploited by neo-Nazis, then maybe you should have thought a bit harder. 🙄

The guy is clearly an unpleasant neo-nazi and this actually makes him a perfect character to FAFO the German self-id law. He shows how fucking stupid the whole thing is, both intentionally and unintentionally.

Now the TRAs have an actual Neo Nazi on the stunning and brave team. How are they going to cope? It buggers up a lot of their chants and signs claiming that gender critical women are the ones who are nazis.
