Womens March group changes name

This was the group where the women's Marches focusing on VAWG were organised earlier this year. The name has changed from 'women's rights' to 'intersectional uprising' and the logo with the Venus symbol replaced by a phoenix in the trans flag colours.

Very interesting change.

It sounds like another Pride event

"What do we want?"
"Intersectional uprising"
"When do we want it?"
etc etc

This is a good thing. They stopped fighting for women's rights a long time ago. At least theyre no longer pretending they're for women

I think it’s good too. I hope the change came about as a result of recognising that the word ‘woman’ applies to females only.

Unfortunately it didn't, there's a very long rambling post taking about bad feminists who don't acknowledge trans women etc.

It's not much of a rallying call, is it? No one will have a clue what it's supposed to be for.

Is it just me or does it look like a trans-flag-coloured bird burning a regular pride flag? It just comes across like "fuck everyone who isn't T".

The name they really wanted was Intersection Erection, wasn't it.? Affectionately known to its inner circle as Crossroads Stiffy.

I'm in the Facebook group. I keep meaning to leave. It's full of Isla Bumba types and transwomen getting their validation fix.

Quite happy for these man pandering halfwits to rename their fake women’s rights campaign to something more appropriate.

Glad they've dropped the name they appropriated. Bet some of the tw aren't pleased.

That's a name chosen by a steering committee if ever I saw one.

Dropping women do they can ‘include all women’ (who they obviously understand are men)

It's 'all lives matter' for people who identify as left wing.

Works for me. Now there’s a unisex group that lobbies for its goals openly, and the rest of us can go back to feminist campaigning as we always have.

The TIMs will be dropping it very fast.

What use to them is a group that doesn't have the word 'woman' is its name? Where's the validation in that?

I went to my local Women's March with a bunch of Terfs. We knew that it wasn't really about women but decided to join it with our suffragette flags to make a point.

A bunch of wannabe Antifa boys were there with their SUTR and Palestine flags and banners and they decided to lead the chanting.

It was even more about the men than we had expected. I'm glad that they have stopped pretending.

As the formidable Baroness Winterbourne said in her letter to M&S, that's a Jaguar level of confidence right there. Intersectional uprising means FA to the average person in the street - but it clearly shows that women's rights are irrelevant to them. Sunlight etc.
