If you like -

  1. fashion
  2. make up
  3. Love Island
  4. going out for coffee in the morning

Then don’t worry about your chromosomes or whether you’ve got a vagina, that’s what it takes to be a typical woman according to IW’s latest X post!

But don’t they claim being a TW isn’t about gender stereotypes?

That was a long winded way to say he still thinks he's more woman than the one who writes books.

If he likes fashion so much why is he dressed like a toddler in a wig?

Yes, writing books, how terribly unfeminine. How very dare they when they could be watching love island.

ExploringDreams · 20/07/2025 19:58

Is there a list for being a man? I’m a bit confused right now.

TwistedWonder · 20/07/2025 19:59

Bit confused about him meeting friends for coffee but there’s no one else there - ever

If you can have an imaginary cervix, you can surely have imaginary friends.

Going to the pub and drinking pints of brown ale

Sitting with your legs wider than any other man telling fart jokes

Wearing your pants more than once before washing them.

Carrying a hood

That's four. Fairly comprehensive for anyone needing a checklist of activities to do if they think they might be a man.

Dear Indie when your vanity Google brings you to this thread at 3am one day please listen to the women here who say you need help. It's not typical to think you can magically become the opposite sex. Womanhood isn't about makeup or coffee with 'gal pals' it's about being born female and human and then not dying before adulthood.

Lots of women like fashion, lots don't but the same applies to men, name a dozen designers without listing a male. Some wear makeup other don't. Some like Love Island but there really is no accounting for taste. I am no more a woman on the occasions when I'm wearing a dress and heels and makeup and dancing round my handbag with female friends then when I'm in the stands at my beloved football club in jeans and footie shirt before a pint in the pub with the lads for a spot of post match analysis. The fact that I have been to more stadia and more matches than most of the lads doesn't make me a man it makes me a woman who loves football.

My kids had a book that explains it all when they were pre teens I'm sure you could pick up something similar on line and have a quick look at the bits that explains male and female bodies.

I know several girls/women that like all the above, they are all under 18.

India is almost 60!

Perhaps we should suggest to JKR that she turns her hand to directing/producing and starts with Love Island (or she could write more believable storylines for them). Sure IW would quickly claim it wasn't a typical woman thing to watch it then.

Why does IW not understand that we don’t give a shit about being feminine? We are literally critical of gender, it’s there in the feckin name 🤦‍♀️

Because IW’s idea of being a woman is exactly the same set of stereotypes that many of us actual women have been avoiding for decades?

ErrolTheDragon · 20/07/2025 20:16

such silly misogyny to think there’s such a thing as a ‘typical woman’.
And the women he knows for sure aren’t like him like Maya and She Who Must Not Be Named are exceptional!😂

NameChangedOfc · 20/07/2025 20:21

It doesn't even make grammatical sense.

Well I don’t fit that either. I must be asexual with a sprinkling of womaness.

Pebbles16 · 20/07/2025 20:28

I only vaguely do number 2 about twice a week to not scare the natives.
I am really womaning all wrong. I write books and "all sorts of thoughtful things", I mean using my brain isn't at all womanly - according to a MAN.

TwistedWonder · 20/07/2025 20:29

Just to say there’s absolutely nothing wrong with liking fashion, make up, love island and coffee with friends if that’s what you enjoy. But there’s no being a proper woman test to pass or fail other than having XX chromosomes and being an adult.

Don’t forget playing pocket billiards with your nuts when you think no one’s watching.

Oh and hammering drywall - isn’t that what all blokey blokes spend their days doing?

menopausalmare · 20/07/2025 20:33

This is what a bloke thinks women do.

axolotlfloof · 20/07/2025 20:34

Willoughby is such a sexist guy.

FuzzyPuffling · 20/07/2025 20:34

Up until now, I had never seen a photo of IW.

I 😅 🤣 😂 laughed.

BunnyRuddington · 20/07/2025 20:49

Oh no. Turns out I’ve been doing Womaning all wrong too.

  1. Couldn’t tell you what’s in fashion
  2. I do wear make up sometimes. Wouldn’t say I was interested and don’t wear it a lot of the time.
3 Had to laugh at Love Island. The only people I know who watch it are randy teen boys.
  1. Don’t even like coffee.
PandorasMailbox · 20/07/2025 20:50

Why is a 60 year old bloke watching Love Island?

My biological age is nearly 60. It’s okay though, I’m identifying as a 30 year old and my doctor has confirmed that my periods will start again soon now that I have decided I’m young again. 👍

JustFish · 20/07/2025 20:54

This is a 60 year old man trying to tell women we are defined by the most trivial, vapid simpering stereotype of femininity so he can deal with his repressed homosexuality by making himself into sort of basic bitch/ bimbo image he perceives as attractive to men.

All the while criticising real, actual, genuine women, their looks, personalities, talents and abilities. ( writing books! Sneer! ) There's nothing wrong with coffee, Tv, fashion and makeup: but an elderly deluded surgery addict telling women that his outdated stereotypes should be female limitation, ambition and normality? He can fuck off.

Also, the table is empty, it's a sad reflection.

Fortunately The Dame has the measure of IW.

🤣🤣🤣
The Dame is spot on as usual!

I like fashion but from what I’ve seen, India certainly doesn’t.

I wear make up on occasion but I wouldn’t say I’m particularly in to it.

I’ve never watched Love Island or anything else of the same ilk.

I prefer tea in the morning but I’m too busy working to go out for it.

I’ve given birth but never fathered a child.

IW is still full of shit.
