All women welcome, pull up a pygmy hog, the bargerbil will serve you a drink, the flying squirrels will bring you something to read and the goats will do...I'm not entirely sure.

There may be more than the usual amount of chaos as we transition to the new thread.

Some recent photos ... have thrown away the one that was half woman half moose half biscuit, and the one with the nightmare gerbils and the creepy cat ... so here we have ... a waiting jolly party at the Bluestocking and then ... what has Myrtle been knitting?!

I need a cup of tea after that.

I'll not ask a gerbil they haven't forgiven my JKR trick earlier. I'll make it myself.

Any requests requests let me know and I'll put you on the list.

Magpiecomplex · 31/07/2025 21:54

As us magpies are well known for our melodious singing voices, I shall be very happy to take requests.

Did you say you were part nightingale?

Thank you for the Beetles medley, Boily!

Any requests requests let me know and I'll put you on the list.

I hope no-one is cruel enough to ask
'Do you know Silence is Golden?'
or
'Do you know the Road to the Isles? Yes? Good, then take it!'
[these were ritual jokes at family sing-songsSmile]

I am not JKR. I'm on record as never having read a single word of any of her books, so unless she does Automatic Writing, it can't be me.Grin

Did you say you were part nightingale?

Nope, proudly 100% magpie. Why?

Swashbuckled · 31/07/2025 22:03

Perhaps JKR is @FuzzyPuffling and she was doing a very clever double bluff type thingy.

lcakethereforeIam · 31/07/2025 22:03

I was never really a fan but perhaps Sabbath Bloody Sabbath as an Ozzy tribute?

Oh, no reason….can’t remember exactly…must be getting you muddled up with another bird… not that you all sound the same or anything…god, no… it’s my memory…failing…flailing….or my ears…perhaps it’s my ears…years of ears…what were you saying?

I did try to get it to do a different image. But it has decided I'm just getting the same thing!

It looks like everyone is overcome with emotion at the sheer beauty of my singing. Should I continue?

lcakethereforeIam · 31/07/2025 22:13

Yup, just give me a sec.

I was very impressed by the gerbils aim with the tomatoes. A side of Gosie and Gilberta I'd not seen before.

No, no... not the karaoke. Ladies from C1400 who masquerade as hares CANNOT sing. Your ears will break, I promise you.

<cautiously removes an earplug> did you say something?

EdithStourton · 31/07/2025 22:20

Oh jolly good. Maggers is even more tuneless than I am.

This has major novelty value.

Well, quite. However, it would be churlish to monopolise the mic any further, I think. I'll take a large hot chocolate and retire to a table now.
Thank you ladies and gentlegerbils, I'm here all week!
