Man harassed and assaulted in Brighton

Not sure if any of you follow Edge of the Matrix on YouTube. You might’ve seen him on other YouTube videos wearing his sandwich board.

He went to Brighton, and got quite the treatment on the pier.

It’s a long video (I’m not even finished watching yet) but the way these people behave is infuriating. I can’t abide it.

I have genuine questions for TRAs who do this sort of thing, or people who know TRAs who do this:

...why do you always cover your faces?

...why do you wear masks, balaclavas, hoodies, sunglasses, head coverings?

...aren't you proud to own your actions?

...haven't you ever noticed that at women's gatherings (LWS for example) the women speakers never cover their faces? Never hide?

...why are you so afraid to reveal who you are?

Because whilst TRAs are very big on demanding people face the consequences they deem appropriate for any alleged slights or harms to trans people and spouting actions have consequences they never want to face the legal consequences of their actual crimes

Who did he push over at the end? What was all that about?

Who is Edge of the Matrix and what does he stand for, other than biological reality?

Rewatched the end bit. Unfortunately, this matrix guy seems to be as much of a menace as the people he's protesting against. He does nothing for his own cause when he assaults the guy at the end. The guy shouldn't have taken his sandwich board but that didn't give him the right to wrestle him to the ground and put his hands around his neck. Completely disproportionate.

Comments are a sight to behold too.

I'm not sure this fella is in it for the infringement of women's rights aspects. Uses dog whistle phrases like "Woke Mind Virus".

I think the guy with the sandwich board is an ex firefighter who left the service because of the shift to woke, as he puts it.

He’s been covered in all sorts of stuff - soup, hot sauce, syrup etc.

Earlier in the video he’s blocked from moving around by the first two masked guys. That sort of carry on is out of order. Even if they don’t agree, they do need to respect his right to voice his opinion, IMO.

I think I know this, based on the same behaviour from immature male activists I knew in the past.

Basically they believe the police are part of the corrupt state machinery that apparently oppresses them at every turn. See also "ACAB". They believe themselves to be at risk and therefore hide their identity to keep themselves safe from having to face the consequences of their actions.

As we know, because of actual real things/events, the police cannot always be trusted. But their paranoia that the police are against them is incredible, particularly when there are cop cars emblazoned with trans flags.

I suspect that roughly translates to no longer able to sexually harrass women employees or use good old fashioned "bloke's banter". Yeah, right mate.

The OP said she thought the guy with the sandwich board had left the fire service because of a shift to "woke". I suspect he objects to entrenched and previously unchallenged misogynistic behaviour in the workplace now being unacceptable/under scrutiny. The fire service, like the police, has historically been (and still is) riddled with misogyny and male entitlement.

I don't know about the fire service history or his motivations there, but the people using hard right phrases like 'woke mind virus' are rarely feminists.

I am gender critical. By all means search my past posts on the topic and you will see that I am against trans ideology. That phrase is one favoured by Elon Musk, a man who did TWO NAZI SALUTES at the presidential inauguration. It absolutely is a 'hard right' term.

Yes, I suppose I have "made it up" but I've used 68 years of experience and intuition to reach a summation. I'm GC but in my personal opinion this isn't the sort of man I want championing my cause. I suspect he's somewhere to the right of Ghengis Khan amongst other things. Very happy for you to prove me wrong though.

You probably did mean to tag me. I was the one who mentioned hard right and not feminist, though I was talking about the motivations of the man in the video, not any posters on the thread.

I just think the interesting aspects of the video the OP posted aren't this guy's motivations but the behaviour of everyone involved.

He stands still with a billboard and engages with people who approach him (not the other way around).

TRAs massively intimidate him, crowd him, keep their faces covered, try to stop free speech/engagement, throw soup.

Woman and young lad get stuck in.

Many people clearly support him. Others don't.

Police get called.

Fat bloke nicks his billboard and then shits himself when physically challenged.

Two blokes (who obviously don't agree with his views but remain fair) break up the kerfuffle. Everyone goes home.

Interesting day in Brighton!

Most of the people in the video make a holy show of themselves.

Is this par for the course in Brighton? 😄
