The FTC Workshops 'Gender Medicine' As Potential Medical Fraud This Week

I came across an interesting article from the US discussing a development in the fight to protect children from Genderism and thought it might be useful to post a link and excerpt in FWR:

The FTC Workshops 'Gender Medicine' As Potential Medical Fraud This Week^^

From an historian’s perspective, ‘gender medicine’ is an example of patent medical fraud. Its consequences in children are more profound than adults, yet the experimental ‘transition’ of minors was predicated on improving the dismal results in adults.

In America, an adult is allowed to drink poison if they wish. However, the weed killer must be marked as poison. To market weed killer as nutritious food would be fraud. Americans can only be truly free to poison themselves when ‘informed consent’ is meaningful. Anything less is a potential crime.

Likewise, to advertise or advise on cosmetic surgeries with descriptions such as ‘life-saving’ and suicide-preventing is also fraud. Here is where the guise of a civil rights movement finds its limits.

Insurance does not have to cover fraud. Medicaid does not have to cover fraud. Governments and schools and college campuses cannot be compelled to protect or promote fraud, and expose themselves to legal risk if they do. Media companies cannot promote fraud without exposing themselves to risk of regulatory action. The potential knock-on effects could be huge.

I’m impressed that a US federal agency is tackling gender ‘medicine’ head-on, homing in on its inherent fraudulence.

If only we had something similar in the UK. I know the tide is turning, but the big medical and governmental organisations seem to be operated by transbots.

I too pretend that Trump didn't install his own leaders and commissioners in the FTC and isn't walking lock-step with Project 2025 whilst dropping the various trade and anti-trust investigations.

Irrelevant.

Gender ‘medicine’ causes physical and mental harm. When practised on children it is child abuse. It’s high time the medics and pharma companies involved were called to account.

Tomorrow on Mumsnet S&G, outrage as [insert Euro agency] adds 'gender critical ideology' as part of the anti-gender movement without even uttering the term 'useful idiots'

Keep waffling on. You have no relevant points to make.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 08/07/2025 08:58

It's good to see this finally being investigated. Wonder how long it will be before the medics who've experimented on the young in the UK with their brutal experimental surgery leaving them so physically harmed will be held to account? Many years I suppose if the trans lobby get their way.

CassOle · 08/07/2025 09:17

This sounds like an interesting point and I hope this question is asked.

"One question I intend to ask in Washington is whether anyone has considered applying RICO law to WPATH. I am not a lawyer, of course. To a layman, however, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, which allows prosecutors and/or litigants to charge everyone involved in a single conspiracy at once, would seem applicable to the case."

Queen Bee GIF by Eternal Family

Must be a BumbleBee!

MN!😳I was not expecting to find anything like this in the .gif drawer! Although it's male honey bees whose penises explode during copulation. It doesn't make them female bees though. Any that fail to mate and thus survive breeding season are kicked out of the hive because they're useless. If they try to return their sisters bite their wings off.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/07/2025 09:53

As with many things in American society, lawsuits bring about their decline rather than legislation so this could be part of that process for this dangerous medicalisation of children’s unhappiness.

I miss the days of a proper comprehensible insult to FWR posters. I genuinely can't make head or tail of them these days.

Purple prose seems to be a feature not a bug in the ploppers we get nowadays. 🙄

I never knew (nor had any desire to know) anything about mating bees.

US healthcare is managed more as a consumer issue and consumer law is applied more often to bad medicine than in the UK. Several US legal practices were already looking in to this and gathering cases to take to court. It makes sense that the US government agency (Federal Trade Commission) would want to look into it, they would be derelict in their duty if they didn't. They can avoid patients wasting money on litigation that wont succeed and they can warns practitioners off practices that will fall foul of consumer law.

e.g. from June 2024 s
and Dec 2024 s

(edited to delete repetition)

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 11/07/2025 07:52

In the UK we rely more on the NHS and so consumer law is less relevant, we have judicial reviews like the one into Tavistock GIDS and investigations like the Cass review. And our governments (UK, Scotland, Wales, NI) do have to pay attention to them even when they'd obviously prefer not.

I'm happy for the US to take out bad medicine in their own way and we'll use ours!

Fucking hell. Excuse my language but really - the stories are absolutely tragic. One brave mother speaks about her daughter who died. Several detransitioners. Mastectomies and blockers at ages where they couldn't get a tattoo, drink, drive. Be prepared to cry. I'm only onto Miriam Grossman's talk but thought I'd post for anyone else who wants to watch.

I agree wholeheartedly - it’s a medical scandal and the public needs to hear the unvarnished truth about what’s been done to children & adults by doctors in service of an ideology.

Thanks for the link 👍

Also where was 'be kind' for these kids? Mostly prescribed life altering medication that has destroyed their health after ONE appointment.

Anything but kind.
