The FTC Workshops 'Gender Medicine' As Potential Medical Fraud This Week

I came across an interesting article from the US discussing a development in the fight to protect children from Genderism and thought it might be useful to post a link and excerpt in FWR:

The FTC Workshops 'Gender Medicine' As Potential Medical Fraud This Week^^

From an historian’s perspective, ‘gender medicine’ is an example of patent medical fraud. Its consequences in children are more profound than adults, yet the experimental ‘transition’ of minors was predicated on improving the dismal results in adults.

In America, an adult is allowed to drink poison if they wish. However, the weed killer must be marked as poison. To market weed killer as nutritious food would be fraud. Americans can only be truly free to poison themselves when ‘informed consent’ is meaningful. Anything less is a potential crime.

Likewise, to advertise or advise on cosmetic surgeries with descriptions such as ‘life-saving’ and suicide-preventing is also fraud. Here is where the guise of a civil rights movement finds its limits.

Insurance does not have to cover fraud. Medicaid does not have to cover fraud. Governments and schools and college campuses cannot be compelled to protect or promote fraud, and expose themselves to legal risk if they do. Media companies cannot promote fraud without exposing themselves to risk of regulatory action. The potential knock-on effects could be huge.

Great article on the opening workshop. Things are looking tough for the huge gender industry.

The Cult Of The 'Trans Child' Is Doomed

Jonathan Schweppe, Senior Policy Adviser at the Federal Trade Commission, opens last week’s workshop on the frauds that ‘gender medicine’ perpetrates on children
It was a casual conversation with a security guard during the first break, in the middle of the morning session, that convinced me we have reached the beginning of the end.

Excellent article, I am particularly heartened by this info:

'Attendees suggested that the clinicians identified in the workshop, such as Marci Bowers, Sidhbh Gallagher, and Johanna Olson-Kennedy ought to be the first subjects of any federal inquiry.'

I agree. It's a good article, and I would love to see those names being held to account.

The children (possibly now adults) with surgically or medically altered bodies are the biggest victims of this harmful ideology (it hurts the very people it claims to protect). I also feel for the families who were lied to and coerced.

Males with AGP and their enablers are such a destructive force. The invention of the 'trans child' to legitimise a fetish has caused so much harm.

#BeeKind looks a bit sad knowing that. Still. At least the sisters are only biting off the failed males’ wings…

I can’t remember the name of the poor child who died as a teen, after many episodes of appalling health. She’d been on TikTok encouraging others to transition, but ended up desperately swollen and ill. I don’t think the cause of death was published, whether it was a direct result of the surgeries or her own desperation when it was clear theee was no route back to a healthy body after all that had happened.

I think she’d lived with her grandparents after a custody dispute. Does anyone remember her name?

There have been some terrible tragedies. Griffen 'Gruffin' Sivret (born Makayla Sivret) is one who springs to mind.

I think you might be thinking of Nex Benedict (born Dagny Benedict).

Those poor children and well done FCA.

Refusing to investigate these health claims and the potential consumer harm to parents and children merely because one political party supports those claims as a matter of its ideology would be the politicized choice, and that is why we are here today: to ensure that parents and children seeking professional help in a period of intense distress do not make potentially life-altering choices under veil of deception, misinformed about the risks and benefits of gender-affirming care

(that was a quote from it). We know it doesn’t prevent suicide (even Chase Strangio admitted this in front of the Supreme Court). We know it doesn’t improve mental health (Olson-Kennedy among many others). It’s about time this was judged by the same rigour applied to every other medical treatment.

Did Biden, Harris Know There's 'Scant Evidence' for 'Gender-Affirming Care' When They Pushed It on Kids? Group Demands Answers

America First Legal examines whether the Biden-Harris White House knew "scant evidence" supports "gender-affirming care" when they backed it.

That’s a shocking article: it shows US hospitals and clinics saying two different things to two different audiences.

To the NIH they’re saying they need money to research the effects of medically transitioning children because they are worried about negative effects and to the public they’re saying transition ‘em young, it’s the best way to keep ‘em alive.

Sociopathic is what it is. Live experimentation on vulnerable children.

I was thinking of Griffin, though I also remember Nex. Poor kids.

I just googled Makayla Sivret and found this substack

Griffin Sivret & The Lies They Sell - by Elle Toupee share.google/eS6HWNzgza21H9mt3

I would advise not looking at some of the pictures. I didn't. That poor girl.

It's pure Unit 731-eque horror.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 16/07/2025 10:30

I've just been listening to another Bearded Lesbians podcast. Episode 19 is a scary interview with "Jake" about adult "gender medicine" for women (transmen) in Canada and the US. Jake researched for their own transition by following private Facebook accounts of 22 women (transmen) who described their experiences as they went through the stages of genital surgery.

"it's absolutely not informed consent because when you go into a consult they should say the complication rate is roughtly 80-90%"
"it's not the surgeon that's the problem it's the surgery"

(nb Some of the examples are really harrowing.)

[27:45] "Back between 8 to 10 years ago [..] there were these trans guys that would have private Facebook groups where they would show the process before during and after surgery and I had joined 22. So there's thesse 22 different trans guys that I was following in real time, pre surgery, stage 1, stage 2 and so forth, and I'd already started to have consults for lower surgery and I had consults with 7 surgeons over the years and the typical thing you hear is 15-25% complication rate that's what suregons tell you. [..] Out of 22 people only two had no complications. That was when I realised something wasn't adding up."

[29:11] "My surgeon [...] told one of the other trans guys that he only counts something as a complication if it can never be repaired."

[33.06] "His surgeon said "Oh the next surgery we're going to fix it. Surgery 6 the next one we're gonna fix it. Repair oh like the next one we're going to fix it." So they keep holding on to hope".

("his" and "trans guys" are female.)

Women don't often have as much money as men (and parents) to sue. And maybe it's all too painful. But I'd like to see the FTC have a go at the lack of informed consent to gender medicine for women (transmen) as well.
