Perhaps the gerbil has just been blagging snacks off Knotty. You know, the usual hard luck story, 'So I was on early shift with Gosie, and she ate ALL the breakfast, and I didn't get any, and look at me, ribs sticking out and everything...'

My irish Nan was prone to say Feck, and fecking as the slight change was not an actual swear word in her head.

She once told my boyfriend (we were early twenties) that he should tell his employer to feck off. He was very shocked at this seemingly sweary granny.

Being Feckless was also common parlance, so i often wonder if it is linked to that word.

Don't worry! (Well, do worry that Gerbilene, Gondola, Geranium and Gladioli are extremely fat - a diet is urgently necessary). They have secretly been eating the plain chocolate Tunnock's Teacakes, so that you never have to see them or have them pollute your stash of the real things.

Bluestocking gerbils - ever trying to be helpful

I've just booked them in for fat camp for the next week though.

I don't like to body shame but Gondola just broke a third chair , this shift, in the the staff canteen.

And Gerbilene had to be rescued from the middle pocket of the pool table last week, she'd gone in to do a deep dust and was heard squeaking faintly about 4 hours later.

I'm worried for their health.

Ahem. Dark chocolate Tunnocks are blue & gold. I think those gerbils have got at Boiled's stash, not mine.

I am shocked to my core

I assume with all those Tunnocks their gut health isn't great which will not help with weight issues. That's a lot less fibre than their usual diet. I can bring some probiotics next time I pop in.

I've got them into the gym but they're not happy.
