I think we all want an actual Maud now 😀

Yes!

Boiledbeetle · 06/07/2025 21:25

The gerbils are currently trying to work out if Grimbut's t shirt factory has the capacity to turn over some of the factory space to the gerbil knitters to knock out some Maud cuddly gerbils.

It's a financial winner. Market resesrch says everyone wants a Maud. No brainer.

Boiledbeetle · 06/07/2025 21:32

I've just googled knitted gerbils...

They exist!

However none of them match up to Maud

FuzzyPuffling · 06/07/2025 21:42

This one is quite cute.

Although she is clearly crocheted.
She's called gPeanut.

In my case this attitude has endured into the post-menopause.

I don't care if you hurt your foot in an entirely self-inflicted careless sporting accident. I wasn't there, I didn't have anything to do with it, you are a grown man and you can still walk.
I don't care that your socks have come back from the washing line inside-out. Not my problem, I didn't take them off, you are a grown man and can sort them out yourself.
Etc.

But I LOVE Maud.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 06/07/2025 22:13

Thank you everyone for your encouraging words. I'll send off Maud with the other squares this week, then. I think she looks a bit rough compared with her AI versions & with gPeanut, though.

Rough! Noooo! She is

lovingly hand crafted

FuzzyPuffling · 07/07/2025 06:57

Android, your Maud is perfect.

Britinme · 07/07/2025 08:50

I am deeply impressed by anybody who can crochet anything and make it look anything other than a mess.

MyrtleLion · 07/07/2025 19:02

I'm back from a break from MN. I didn't get a second interview for that role, and was told I was unsuccessful for another role, but today I was given a first interview on Friday at 4pm for another role.

Any cheerbils around?

FuzzyPuffling · 07/07/2025 19:03

Woo hoo...break out the cheerbils. They are due a successful outing. Good luck Myrtle.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 07/07/2025 19:16

You caught them working on some ballroom dancing routines, but they're excited for you, Myrtle.

As a watcher of Andy Pandy some 60+ years ago, I find this hilarious:

Good luck for Friday, Myrtle.

Gnash, gnash, grr, grr for the two previous roles you mentioned.

They are currently doing the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Thunderstruck routine if you don't mind watching them do that.

They are obsessed with that bloody programme on Netflix.

Of course i had to, very unwillingly obviously, watch every episode of both series first to make sure it was suitable for them to watch.

I bloody LOVE that show! And they finally got a decent pay rise. Maybe they can practise during the day and won't have to hold down three jobs.

400% increase unless I heard wrong.

Erm I mean did they? I wasn't really watching.

Yes, 400% which means $2000 a performance for 36 performances. And the choreographer and leader fought for this multi-billion dollar organisation to pay them properly.

I think for women raised in sheltered and often religious communities, who may find it hard to get to college and who learn to dance when they are tiny, this is a huge opportunity for them. A bit like X Factor in the UK.

And the injuries they end up with! Astonishing talent and grit.

That's a decent wage!

The amount of money they make the company though!

and I bet 2000 dollars per game is still a small slither of what they make the company.

The dance looks to me - appropriately - more like the can-can

MarieDeGournay · 07/07/2025 22:02

Sorry you haven't been snapped up yet Myrtle, but I hope they people on Friday are more discerningSmile
