The women have been and done and gone, the lady cats have retired, no doubt to look snooty and claim they did it deliberately.

Can the men live up to their womenfolk's splendid example?

@Boiledbeetle suggested a square for Swashy from the Bluestocking gerbils, & this is the result.

Slight problem: I've overworked her & her expression keeps changing. I think she's become a bit exasperated, bordering on malevolence. She started out with sweet vulnerability (& a lop-sided expression) but now she looks, as DH put it, as though she's saying, "Yes - what do you want?". She looks to me as though she's thought of something unpleasant to do to her enemy, & that thought pleases her immensely.

I feel her name is Maud, & she Does Not Care that gerbil names all begin with 'G'. She may be related to the ferocious grey gerbil who got a bit angry when a gerbil bought in some knitted squares.

The knitting is rolling up because we're not supposed to block it.

Android, she is lovely. I see her more as saying "Is there anything I can do for you?"

I think she looks resolute, Android, and very cute, I'm sure the gerbils will be honoured to be represented by her

I know when a game is very exciting it's understandable if you lose your voice. But when you're the match commentator on the radio that is not great for listeners.

Still, all good. Take that you cats!

gMaud ^ is a very sweet gerbil.

I think her changeable expression reflects the ever-changing emotions during that hurling match, which was quite something.

I didn't realise gMaud was into hurling. That explains a lot.

You're speaking in tongues, but I understand. It was a cracking match, and Tipp deserved the win, just about... that goal-line save was miraculous!
'Hurling was the real winner', as the cliché goes.

[poor old Dublin were absolutely trounced by Cork yesterday, like, trounced]

Yeah, I don't like Cork at the best of times, and I'm half Dub.

But today's was a cracking match - I'm not all that interested in sport but even I was holding my breath for most of the second half, particularly after we were a man down.

I think some of the crafty ladies might have had a neighbour in the Camogie, so I'll hear about that tomorrow as well.

That's a beautiful piece of work, Android, and a skilful combination of techniques. I think Maud has her arms crossing her front, as if offering her pink centre or heart to Swashy.

@ifIwerenotanandroid Maud is on the collection point tonight and is made up with how much yours and the squares knitted by the gerbils look like her.

I think she may be getting help holding those from an unseen gerbil. That or her left arm is ridiculously long.

What clever gerbils. Apart from the squares, who knitted Maud her suit? It fits her like a second skin - or rather fur - but golden brown rather than her natural grey.

I love Maud. I love her little hands, folded over her belly.

Maud is aware her fur is slightly different to the others but she doesn't like to talk about it.

The gerbils gossip though and there are rumours that many eons ago (September 2019) one of her maternal line had a brief affair with Shaun the sheep.

But it's just rumour, there's no hard proof.

I think we all want an actual Maud now 😀
