Yup, Wadhwa is back!

Aiming to stand as a candidate on the Edinburgh list for the socttish parliament next year.

No explanation or mention of Edinburgh rape crisis, of course. Wadhwa is trans, so cannot possibly be expected to explain Wadhwa's actions with public money like any CEO would have to. No idea how anybody in the greens expects this to play out - maybe they are just hoping nobody will notice???

Good, we need the public to know what's happening. I'm worried that people who are not paying attention will want to save the planet and just think, "Oh, there's a woman standing for the Scottish Greens, and she's not white so there's another plus, she's got my vote!" It looks like it's still at the internal votes stage, but if Wadhwa gets selected I think that's a real risk. That article is only brief, but it's a start.

The storm is growing. The Scottish Greens are looking at a lot of negative publicity.

As I said upthread it could be the run up to the elections in 2026 sees a lot more sunlight on the Greens. They need it. Keep sharing folks.

Slightly disappointed that we don’t see it made clear that Wadhwa is a biological man anywhere in that Times article, given that there is still some confusion in the general public about what a transwoman/“trans woman” is.

It is extraordinary that the Times persists in calling the man she/her, in the face of total opposition from commenters. Why?
