We have been following the increasing crazy of the Scottish Greens in recent times on this thread.

Running Wadhwa would be insane for any other party. For them it makes sense.
The interesting question is if any of this will actually backfire electorally in 2026. On the other hand fear of Reform, disillusion with SNP and Labour may push a bunch more people to vote for them unless something is done.
Obviously most Scots, even pro indy Scots, are increasingly wary of the Greens. As coalition partners they were a train wreck for the SNP - very bad as ministers, but also hilariously completely failed to get the SNP to focus on environmental issues. They eventually brought down an SNP administration. If unionists were to invent people to make indy look bad the Scottish Greens would be it.
The Scottish Greens are lucky because outside the right wing press or certain online circles the dodgy predator stuff is not being discussed. It is possible though 2026 could be the time when the spotlight falling on the Greens finally really makes them look bad.
It seems in 2026 the Scottish Greens will be doubling down on the crazy and I suspect one of their "gender" candidates will be exposed as a predator/violent again which would make at least the fifth time it has happened.
Especially as the SNP have good reasons to attack them more now as well. One aspect could be a JKR tweet pointing out some of the crazy in the campaign and it could get very messy.
A key role in how this plays out can be played by pesky Scottish women saying things not just online, but turning up at hustings and generally being pro-women in the Greens vicinity. This could cause them to double down on the sexism. Which in turn could get a lot more sunlight.
I am sure Mumsnet will be doing its bit.
