That pic with the boobs blanked out, definitely a blokes physique

nutmeg7 · 22/06/2025 16:21

thirdfiddle · 22/06/2025 16:11

Ah, they had actually made the exception. Entirely the swimmer's choice then.

I thought it was in the “open” category.

There was “open” and “female”, so I read on the other thread about this.

BuckaDuck · 22/06/2025 16:04

Given the heat in the UK all I saw yesterday was topless men some with moobs some without.
I dont really have any thoughts on topless blokes to be honest.

This. For me topless blokes are just grim. Whether they have moobs they've grown themselves or silicon filled moobs they are horribly unattractive. Just out them away. They aren't shocking they're just sad

Sporadica · 22/06/2025 16:32

Rachel Johnson (sister of Boris) went topless to protest Brexit, but UK passport-holders still can't get more than 90/180 days in the Schengen area without a visa. I doubt that this particular group of boobs will have significantly better luck.

Probably was - I guess normally body suits are still banned for men or they'd all wear them wouldn't they?

borntobequiet · 22/06/2025 16:39

What is really weird is writing s*x rather than sex in the article.

HermioneWeasley · 22/06/2025 16:44

“Man swims wearing the same clothing that all other men wear” is not newsworthy. This is so bizarre

RareGoalsVerge · 22/06/2025 16:47

Lots of men wear full-cover suits up to the shoulder and down to the knee as it helps make them more streamlined for speed cutting through the water.

Boobs would definitely add a bit of friction (hmm, originally wrote "drag" but best not in this context) so probably wise to wear a suit to streamline them to achieve best performance.

The female category is for female people. It's not a "people with boobs" category.

AngryDH25 · 22/06/2025 16:51

Does anyone know what he placed? He came second in the last womens competition he was in. I’d be interested to know if he placed so highly against other men?

Liverstreaming · 22/06/2025 16:53

If it’s the open category the mandated dress needs to be sufficiently flexible to accommodate both sexes. Sounds like this swimmer was offered to wear a female suit but didn’t want to because it would be outing. A range of options that everyone can choose from seems the obvious solution to both problems. If one particular style is more competitive everyone will gravitate to it anyway. And if transwoman wants to swim tits out then that’s cool too.

DurinsBane · 22/06/2025 16:56

Shetlands · 22/06/2025 16:13

He doesn't mind exposing his false lady-titties but I bet he wouldn't want to show off his very male todger to the cameras!

How do you there is one? Maybe it has been cut and folded inside?

tripleginandtonic · 22/06/2025 16:59

It was an open category but as a male he was no different to the others. However, as he identifies as a woman he was told he could wear a swimsuit if he wished.

TheOtherRaven · 22/06/2025 17:04

If a man wants to swim with his artificially created breasts flopping about, whatever. Men come in all shapes and sizes, they're a diverse sex class.

You'd think a bit of sense would dictate he'd make his case better wearing an appropriate swimsuit for someone with breasts of the type he'd like them to be seen as, but it's not in any way helping demonstrate that he and his boundary issues should be let loose in the women's changing rooms or that he should be permitted to go and destroy women's rights to sports of their own.

Edited: no, not make 'his case', there's no case to make. I meant that a man with a trans identity competing with dignity and dressed as he wishes to present himself is going to gain an awful lot more public support. Although not to let him invade women. Just to be himself.

MrsKypp · 22/06/2025 17:07

Exactly. Completely obvious he's a male.

Having breasts added surgically doesn't change a male into a female.

Just as having a double mastectomy doesn't make a female a male.

Not sure what he was trying to prove with that stunt.

Joyinthemoning · 22/06/2025 17:52

Perhaps it will dissuade some younger stupids men from even going down that route.

Absentmindedsmile · 22/06/2025 17:53

😂 Excellent

Bbq1 · 22/06/2025 17:58

He's a man, swim with the men.

ButteredRadishes · 22/06/2025 18:02

BuckaDuck · 22/06/2025 16:10

I cannot imagine anyone batted an eyelid at seeing this male in swim shorts.
Look at this unit! Why was he ever allowed to compete against women?

Because feeellingsssss

Superhansrantowindsor · 22/06/2025 18:13

Is that what being a woman is? Having two silicon pouches surgically inserted under the nipple?

ErrolTheDragon · 22/06/2025 18:23

Seems to me this is the fault of whoever is telling people what to wear to swim in. I wonder if this bloke would have ‘protested’ if they hadn’t or if he’d just turned up in the swimsuits he’d been using before in women’s competitions?

murasaki · 22/06/2025 18:28

He's a vexatious arse, and has been for quite a while.

TheOtherRaven · 22/06/2025 18:31

murasaki · 22/06/2025 18:28

It is peculiar how very often these men are. The 'just getting on with things' ones seem to be like that mythical fraudulent, totally transitioned and lovely accountant who was the reason that all men should go into women's prisons; rarer than hens teeth.

murasaki · 22/06/2025 18:33

The amusing thing is that every time he tries to make a point, he makes the opposite one from the one he intended to make.

The big foolpiece.

Well, yes. Just with weird fake breasts that I don’t imagine anyone finds appealing. Why would anyone choose to make themselves unattractive? Especially those who are sex fetishists (I’m not saying this one is) and presumably want to increase their chances of attracting a sex partner?

JellySaurus · 22/06/2025 18:59

I had to laugh at the ignorance of this comment:

^What confuses me is that the "open" category seemingly doesn't include women. Why not just have a category that is actually open to everyone, seems like it would be much fairer and keep
everyone happy^

Hmm... wonder why apparently no women chose to swim against men in the open category?
