Well done Allison. Brilliant news.

ItsCoolForCats · 04/07/2025 11:04

Amazing news. Well done Allison 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 And Akua Reindorf and Peter Daly too. What a team.

It sounds as if the vets was yet another organisation taken over by spiteful activists.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 04/07/2025 11:06

Well done Allison. Yet another expose of how extreme transactivism leads too many into behaving unlawfully and discriminate against others.

thenoisiesttermagant · 04/07/2025 11:06

Wow. Karen Danson surely has a slam dunk case for the way her medical treatment was handled, where they tried to force the very male nurse who'd intimidated her in the changing room to be present at her medical procedure whilst she was unconscious, framing her as bigoted for not wanting this, if this case won. And denied timely appropriate medical care because she challenged this IIRC. Separately from the changing rooms court case.

Ready to donate Karen to a case fund if you read this.

And Allison Bailey is a wonderful, wonderful woman. She is doing so much to retain human rights for women who recognise reality.

Does anyone remember what happened to the woman who was denied medical treatment because of her request for single sex care? Was pretty clear they delayed her vital treatment because they didn't like her GC beliefs. Did the hospital settle or is there a case ongoing?

I recall the hospital ended up recanting and apologising. The surgery did happen but whether it was there or not I don't recall.

HootyMcBoobys · 04/07/2025 11:12

Unfortunately, vet students are churned out by the same woke captured institutions as other students, so expect to see a lot more of this crap in years to come.
As an RVN of 15 years who has now left the profession, I saw this on a regular basis in the last couple of years in our staff room, the whole "trans women are women" guff from so-called intelligent, scientific, rational people in a profession where SEX is vitally important information in order to be able to effectively treat their patients.

Vets are intelligent in their field, but I have seen and worked with some utterly dense people, and I mean you would cringe with the lack of general knowledge and common sense. Too many stories to tell but I am confident it is the same in the medical sphere.

Where I live and worked, Edinburgh Vet school in particular is captured beyond belief and the ideology trickles down.

If animals cannot change sex and remain as they are born, then I don't understand how on earth vets can buy in to this garbage. After all, we're just monkeys in shoes.

PrettyDamnCosmic · 04/07/2025 11:13

I've read the whole judgment. It's not a good look when most of your witnesses tell lies.

Of course the process is the punishment and we know Allison has been willing to deal with that punishment in order to retain women's rights. For which she is a shero and helping so many other women.

IIRC the woman in the denied surgery case was quite ill so may not feel able to take on a discrimination case as it's immensely stressful. Of course many women are in this position. But I do think she was clearly discriminated against - and arguably her life put at risk - because the hospital didn't like her beliefs. Given Allison's just won this case, it seems inconceivable any case such as this would fail. Which hopefully will make HR managers and lawyers in the NHS and private healthcare sector sit up and take notice and ensure that staff stop discriminating and risking the health of women who recognise reality.

Jolyon Maugham calls it again (is he ever wrong🤣?) From his Bluesky account:

"Mind-blowing story in the Daily Rowling of Allison Bailey, sacked by her vet they say because she was rude and a massive bully to their staff, suing it for £25k via Akua 'Honest Guv, I really am an independent EHRC commissioner' Rheindorf KC.

JK Rowling's billions have properly rotted their brains".

SwetSwetSwet · 04/07/2025 11:18

My vet student daughter is graduating from Cambridge this year, has oodles of common sense and is very capable. She nonetheless subscribes to the TWAW belief. I put it down to her having had vulnerable trans schoolfriends whom she wants to support! She won't discuss it with me (because she's wrong and has no rational arguments, obviously!) but when I ask after her TW friend, she often accidently uses the "he" pronoun 😂Great news re Alison.

queenofthesuburbs · 04/07/2025 11:25

They might well have sent her an email saying that her “views” were incompatible with their “values” and to show “support” for their trans customers

Have you all forgotten how it was two and a half years ago? I know I feared for my job so would never express any views to the contrary , even on an anonymous forum!

TheAutumnCrow · 04/07/2025 11:25

The implications of this are huge - for Councils, the NHS, hospitality ...

(I know it's not an Appeal decision and therefore not a binding precedent, but it's really bloody important nevertheless.)

thenoisiesttermagant · 04/07/2025 11:29

How long do you think it's going to take for indoctrinated fools who can't think critically or join the dots to realise they're on the wrong side of reality, never mind history, on this?

I wonder how many 'trans' pets they had at their surgery? How do they think animals reproduce if it's all about inner feelings?

CriticalCondition · 04/07/2025 11:30

Brilliant news! Well done, Allison and her top notch legal team.

Legally, this is big. Very big.

thenoisiesttermagant · 04/07/2025 11:33

Does anyone know if there's an update on the Emma Hardy gym case? Surely they need to settle given the Supreme Court judgement (and also now this)?

myplace · 04/07/2025 11:40

I’m thrilled. All the suggestions earlier in the thread that Alison is somehow irrational look a bit lame now.

queenofthesuburbs · 04/07/2025 11:42

Just read the full thread! Fantastic outcome

TheAutumnCrow · 04/07/2025 11:43

The other thing I'm loving about Allison's latest win is how it underlines that women are entitled to judicial parity and legal remedy, irrespective of their perceived personality traits.

It has often seemed in the past that women need to pass some 'extreme likeability test' and possess a certain 'demureness quotient' to have equitable access to justice.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 04/07/2025 11:43

Well done Alison you shero 🎉🎉🎉

PlasticAcrobat · 04/07/2025 11:53

Congratulations, Allison!Flowers

PlasticAcrobat · 04/07/2025 11:55

I love that the judgement begins with "Jonty is an Airedale Terrier...". Makes me feel like I am settling into a delightful Ladybird children's story.

I'm happy to admit I was one of those who were very sceptical! There wasnt much information given and it did sound a bit odd to me. But happy to have been proven wrong! Does anyone have a link to the full judgement? There was obviously a lot more going on than it seemed

Well that aged like milk, didn't it?

They really don't understand the concept of strategic litigation. 'Hahaha why are the terfs bringing a case about something so trivial o shit they've just established a rather important point in law it must be because the courts are all against us quick grab that bottle of piss and get your moobs out'.
