I'm sure there must be some arrant bollocks in here somewhere, because Jolyon.

But is there anything worrying in this?

I am still not understanding how Tandora is suggesting any service be restricted to women, bearing in mind that this is important to her.

What dies an employer do if an employee claims that the organisation is not H&S compliant because a man is using the women’s toilets?

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 18/06/2025 16:26

Cornishpotato · 18/06/2025 16:24

Jolyon is selling hope.

He's a very naughty boy.

Parliament should pass a law allowing for his assets to be seized and donated to the RSPCA.

Calls the employee transphobic, forces her out of her job and hopes she doesn't have the knowledge or the resources to bring a constructive dismissal claim, duh.

Unlikely now. Even the CIPD got with the program immediately.

Only, of course, these days she does... ⚡😉

Regardless of the rules, the point is that the EHRC guidance was woefully misleading in its choice of statements.

'Regardless of the rules' isn't a very strong position, is it?

The EHRC guidance was not at all misleading to anyone who has knowledge of, and regard for the rules. Clearly the EHRC has, and the GLP has not.

Cornishpotato · 18/06/2025 16:42

Tandora · 18/06/2025 16:07

It wasn't.

The trans organisations that used to sell their training have pivoted to selling "confusion" messages in an attempt to hang on to their income stream which has fallen off a cliff and as they are run by trans people they are all in various stages of disbelief, anger and denial which sells quite well to their allies.

It's all going to run out of steam. I watched a podcast by trans in the city who explained their sponsorship was drying up.

No money for it anymore.

Jolyon has tapped into the rage funds quite successfully so I suppose we should be thankful to him for sucking it all up.

ArabellaScott · 18/06/2025 16:46

Indeed. I'm sure we've all wondered whether Jolyon is playing a long game and is a secret 'gc' double agent.

The grift is truly over.

MarieDeGournay · 18/06/2025 16:47

MAJOR BRITISH COMPANY COMPLIES WITH RULING OF UK SUPREME COURT!
Hold the front page!🙄
Isn't it a sign of the power of the trans juggernaut that compliance with a ruling the UKSC is newsworthy? Can you think of a similar ruling where any responsible organisation's response would be
'well let's see now... the UK Supreme court's considered opinion is this, but some blokes on the internet say they've got it all wrong, and some people are very very sad, and a tiny tiny number of people are utterly devastated, so let's just ignore the Supreme Court...'

But even so, I'm seeing a few record scratches on his Bluesky thread, and on the Reddit thread. The people with a couple of brain cells are beginning to question him.

He was stating, with the confidence that only Jolyon has, that the For Women Scotland appeal would lose.

Maybe that's when the bell cracked?

Cornishpotato · 18/06/2025 16:50

Yes he went in quickly and hard with his emotional manipulation and bleating at JKRowling to maximise his take.

He's grabbed half a million or so!

SionnachRuadh · 18/06/2025 16:53

Looking at Jolyon's Bluesky, he doesn't seem very well at the moment.

I know how ideologically committed he is, but he's also in the position of having grifted half a million quid from a community that's not known for being very patient, realistic, or forgiving of allies that let it down. And he doesn't seem to have any strategy beyond dopey stunts that he can use to further promote his crowdfunder.

Cornishpotato · 18/06/2025 16:58

Exactly, this "win" headline is a desperate stunt to keep the cash rolling in but it's so extremely manipulative it's not fooling many now.

I think it’s fascinating that you are trying to claim that a statement which reads:

"in workplaces, it is compulsory to provide sufficient single-sex toilets,"

Might lead someone to believe that the Guidance was proposing it to be compulsory for workplaces to provide (some) single sex toilets.

(The inclusion at the end of the paragraph of the below sentence is also entirely consistent with this ordinary English language understanding and therefore in no way clarifies the matter.
where toilet, washing or changing facilities are in lockable rooms (not cubicles) which are intended for the use of one person at a time, they can be used by either women or men”)

fascinating .

but then again you people will argue anything as long as you believe it supports your agenda.

😂

TheOtherRaven · 18/06/2025 17:08

'Our agenda' being not taking clothes off for the gratification of men with serious issues.

I get you're not keen on them being allowed to escape, but seriously, have you never considered that you might have a problem?

its bizarre you keep hammering on about this, since I’m not remotely concerned with enforcing access to women’s toilets- (that’s the game of you people!) there is no reasonable way to do this, nor do I think there’s any need to do so.

Im concerned that there will be no more provision of services designated for women - i.e all facilities will be marked as unisex and used by everyone. This is because it’s the only way out for service provides to handle the ridiculous logics/ mandates of this guidance.

Sorry that mean to say

*I think it’s fascinating that you are trying to claim that a statement which reads:

wouldnt reasonably lead someone to interpret that the Guidance was proposing it to be compulsory for workplaces to provide single sex toilets.

We have a point of agreement here. I can see why many in the trans community will be very disappointed if this happens.

Cornishpotato · 18/06/2025 17:18

Is this a slam dunk show stopper argument meant to prove that the sex exemptions should be ignored?

Because it's not.

Take it up with the CIPD. They pandered long enough so they can listen to your complaints, they deserve it.

Or fill in the consultation.

Yeah, the poor TIMs won't get their validation from going into women's loos and taking photos of themselves.

Not quite as much fun in a sex-neutral space is it, guys?
