Hi all,

Just flagging this for any lesbian or bi women who’ve felt pushed out of Pride, or like something’s quietly disappeared.

We’re organising a lesbian and bisexual women-only march on Saturday 5th July in central London. It’s the same day as the main Pride event – but we’re not part of their route, and we’re not affiliated.

Time: 11.00 AM
Meeting point: Emmeline Pankhurst Statue, Victoria Tower Gardens South (by Parliament)
Route: Walk to Parliament Square for a few short speeches, then back to the park for a picnic (or a nearby pub if it rains)

No men. No brands. No pressure.
Just women. In public. Without compromise.

It’s fully self-funded. All permits, insurance, stewards and first aid are covered.

RSVP now
Click “Attend” – even if you’re only thinking of coming. It helps us plan and it shows other women that this space is real.
New faces always welcome.
Meetup

If you’re coming alone or feeling nervous, join our entry WhatsApp group – we’ll look after you:
chat.whatsapp.com/FCsLSOzgV4C2yUGplyQr5m
(This is our public group – open to everyone before vetting. The private WhatsApp spaces are strictly filtered. Only verified, registered women are added after screening. To move into those, register and complete sex verification here: thelcommunity.com)

If you want to understand the story behind why this is needed:

They didn’t make space for us. So we did.

Exactly. The very idea of “women only” seems to trigger them like nothing else. Which is why holding this boundary matters more than ever.

Will be there in spirit LCommunity and wishing you very much luck. This is something I am proud of, to see lesbians out and proud and women-centred, in the way that used to be celebrated.

And this is exactly the playbook women face every time they organise: smear, intimidate, distort. But we see it. And we’re not playing along. The march goes ahead.

Bravo.

For those watchiing with their mouths open at the realities of the homophobia of the gender movement with the mask off: the listed playbook above will also involve trying to convince the authorities to be sufficiently worried about masked idiots kicking off that they will prevent the event happening rather than try and police it and manage the anti social behaviour. It's another way of controlling and abusing.

I've got my bingo card in hand.

So desperately saddened by this thread. My DD (Autie, lesbian, GD but desisted) would really benefit from being able to come to events like this when she starts uni in London later this year. A space to find other lesbians - older, wiser ones; younger, nervous ones like herself; female ones - to find community, acceptance and maybe a GF in safety. But there is no safe space for her, is there?

You’re free to attend Pride that’s what it’s there for. This march is for lesbians and bi women who want same-sex centred space. We just want peace, but you're making it hard. You don’t have to like it, but you don’t get to erase it.

No, you do not want peace, you want to preach transphobia.

There is a reason you do not state "trans women excluded" at your event descriptions anymore, as you know how that ends, now you just try dancing around the subject and preach "peace" while you preach hate.

People on mumsnet may buy it, I will check if london authority does too regarding your protest permit, and just how honest you were when describing the event to them.

Same with the police, as transphobic events require disclosing that fact properly to them.

Now if you want peace and embrace love and everyone, welcome to join all the other lesbians on pride, but that's not what you are about.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/06/2025 10:40

Stop bullying women, especially lesbians, “Aida”, enlightening though your tantrums are to lurkers.

They don't want to embrace everyone, that's the point. And their right.

Beowulfa · 17/06/2025 10:42

A bunch of lesbians at a picnic is "preaching hate" now, is it.

I find those eating cheese & onion crisps with egg sandwiches a bit odd, perhaps that's what Aida means? It's only one step away from Abu Hamza after all.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/06/2025 10:42

The Supreme Court judgment has clarified that it’s absolutely 100% legal to exclude men who identify as women from things which rely on single sex exceptions for women only. So this comment “you know how that ends” can only be a threat of disruption or worse.

Good Lord. Can you please try and drag yourself out of the 1950s.

Also. I don't think random homophobic misogynists on the internet will be able to convince the police that the Supreme Court ruling hasn't happened.

But really! the complete fucking batshittery of demanding that lesbians must specifically say something transphobic, otherwise you'll get them at playtime! 😁

actually, thinking about it, I'm not sure it is transphobic. You couldn't say no trans people allowed. Unfortunately for Aida, trans people are allowed.

That must be stinging

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 17/06/2025 10:45

God, what a misogynistic, homophobic loony this man comes across as

Yes it's called the Supreme Court Ruling which identified the homophobia that lesbians were exposed to if the definition of sex wasn't biological.

The OP doesn't NEED to say transwomen are excluded, because transwomen can't be lesbians.

The OP isn't excluding trans people either. Female transpeople aka transmen CAN attend because they are a) are the right sex b) have the right sexual orientation for the purpose of the march. The purpose of the march is to highlight females who are not straight because of their marginalisation in society.

A transwoman demanding to attend, is the very reason the match is needed because lesbian and bisexual women can not gather without males trying to marginalised them or prevent them gathering at all.

Everything in law says they are perfectly allowed to do this without harassment and intimidation.

Why are you continuing to try and harass and intimidate?

maltravers · 17/06/2025 10:49

Women are done with this crap Aida, the hectoring and manipulation doesn’t work any more.

Such a keyboard bully @AidaP Although I doubt you’re actually “coming over” to London

Yes, I wasn't sure which one was less likely. Travelling to London or having friends

Treaclewell · 17/06/2025 10:52

I wonder if Aida would be willing to try an experiment. Let the lesbian march and picnic go ahead without any counter protest being organised. Just, perhaps, a couple of independent observers to report back if any transphobic behaviours occur, any megaphones, placards etc.
'Cos there wouldn't be any, would there? if the counter people were absent.

GailBlancheViola · 17/06/2025 10:52

No. There is no reason to state transwomen excluded as they are excluded by virtue of the fact they are menand are the refore not included in an event for women.

You are the hateful one - bullying, homophobic and misogynist.

There is only one side preaching hate - oh look a picnic, we had better disrupt it!

There doesn’t need to be anything stating that transwomen are excluded:

  • march is for lesbians
  • lesbians are female only
  • transwomen are male only
  • man can never be a woman, so a transwoman can never be a lesbian

you can keep up your assault, but the response will always be to state the simple biological / reality / legal facts - men can’t be women - end of discussion

quite frankly any man who thinks this way / who responds so aggressively / wishes to intimidate women etc is an insult to other men - as a man I am ashamed to have to accept that men are like this…

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/06/2025 10:50

Narcissistic rage.

Yes, thank you, I'm sure that's it.

I was just trying to work out why anyone would even give a fuck.

The women going to this march are obviously not in the dating pool of these men, ever. The twain will never meet.

it's just the very idea of being thwarted, even theoretically.

It must be absolutely exhausting to have your life dependent upon the utter control of other people.

Kingsleadhat · 17/06/2025 10:56

Women who don't need men and don't confirm to patriarchal roles are threatening to men. Maybe this is where the anger is coming from?

It's the concept of lesbianism that's enraging for Ada.

These women aren't in the slightest bit interested in talking about men identifying as women. They just want to meet other women.

TRAs know that. They full well it's not a protest. They just don't want the women to be able to do it.

Even though this site is largely for women, I do occasionally wish that more men would see what goes on here.

because it's just a microcosm of what goes on everywhere.

And Watching it unfold in real life and following the tactics would indeed be very enlightening. Only for men who wished to be enlightened, of course.
