It is going to happen again at the end of next week.

Details:

I hope the women involved drop out. Khelif is not safe.

Women's groups will be protesting the event.

Remember Khelif has still not taken any real legal action or taken another simple test to prove their sex.

Khelif will cause outrage across the world again.

Imane Khelif Set To Defend Title In The Netherlands' Eindhoven Box Cup

Ten months after a controversial gold-medal-winning run in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Imane Khelif is set to return to the ring at the Eindhoven Box Cup next week.

Shame on the organisation enabling him.

DorothyStorm · 28/05/2025 08:56

How is this still going on!!?!?

Helleofabore · 28/05/2025 11:45

I noticed a tweet by the Eindhoven Box Cup that featured Khelif. It must be very concerning and distressing for the female boxers in that category.

MrsEmmelineLucas · 28/05/2025 11:47

How is this even allowed? What about the women he will box against?

murasaki · 28/05/2025 11:49

Of course it's in the Netherlands. The country that sent a child rapist to the Olympics.

Iamnotalemming · 28/05/2025 12:19

Didn't he threaten to or start legal proceedings after the furore at the Paris Olympics? I guess that never happened then?

DragonRunor · 28/05/2025 12:35

I wonder if they’ll be making any women who do box against him do the media ‘of course he’s a woman’ thing like they did at the Olympics

Chersfrozenface · 28/05/2025 12:35

Iamnotalemming · 28/05/2025 12:19

Didn't he threaten to or start legal proceedings after the furore at the Paris Olympics? I guess that never happened then?

He filed a legal case with the hate crime unit in the Paris prosecutor's office in August last year. Also, in November 2024, was supposed to be taking "legal action against individuals who commented on her [sic] situation during the Olympic Games Paris 2024" and to be on"preparing a lawsuit in response to the latest reporting" on his sex status.

Nothing has come of any of these supposed actions up until now.

In February this year he posted on social media about considering legal steps against the IBA. The IBA was delighted "as a court would force our organization to reveal two gender tests based on which the boxer was banned from participating in any IBA women’s events."

Iamnotalemming · 28/05/2025 12:41

Thanks @Chersfrozenface
He is absolutely shameless. As a PP said, shame on the event organisers for enabling him. The women in the competition are left with the desperate choice of throwing away all their hard work and training by declining to compete. Or potentially being hit by a man for public entertainment. It's disgusting.

MarieDeGournay · 28/05/2025 12:45

I see this competition is under the auspices of World Boxing, who were set up in opposition to the IBA - yes, that's the organisation that did the tests on Khelif and yes, it was financially and politically dodgy, that's factually accurate; both these statements are true and don't cancel out the validity of the tests.

World Boxing is very big on safeguarding, the well-being of the boxers, etc., so that's probably the best line to take by protesters: how can WB stand by the inclusion of someone who is 99% certain to be male [yeah, I think 100% too, but I'm trying to be reasonable] in the women's competition?
GOVERNANCE - World Boxing

It would be worth quoting the Spanish national boxing coach Rafa Lozano, who said in an interview on Radio Marca that Khelif was considered too dangerous to pair with women at a boxing retreat in Madrid ahead of the Olympics.

"We put [Khelif] with Jennifer Fernandez and it hurt her. Whoever we put [Khelif] with was injured.”

Lozano said that to avoid further injury to the women, the coaches eventually paired Khelif with Jose Quiles, one of Spain’s top male boxers.

World Boxing who still hasn't moved with explaining their position on this. Weren't they supposedly reviewing the situation?

JK Rowling has commented that she is still waiting for being served legal papers. Nothing so far.

Eindhoven cup have now removed their tweet proudly promoting the event with the image of Imane Khelif. They seemed so sure they could resist women’s pressure to expel him from the female event. What happened #EBC2025? You realised men hitting women isn’t as popular as you thought?

A mass protest outside the event on June 7th at 1.30 is already planned byy women's groups. Without the cover of the wider Olympics, it is going to be an interesting to see the scale of the protest and its impact.

A key fact needs to be pointed out that Khelif is now way MORE Dangerous and stronger he was at the Olympics because he went up a weight class so any women that faces him is running a far more serious risk. Fit men put on more muscle than women proportionally the heavier they get and more quickly.

Both Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting, the other cheating man at the Olympics in Paris 2024, have moved up a weight class. I think this is purely about the “unfortunate” optics of men beating women. These men and their support teams know that they don’t look quite as bad fighting taller and bulkier women. The disconnect visually with a man beating a woman is slightly less if the woman is heavier and muscle-laden. A little but not enough because 4 kilos doesn’t turn Khelif into a woman, it just makes him stronger.

It seems that women are pawns in a battle between different boxing authorities.

Dutch Boxing Federation to hold boxing tournament in Eindhoven despite IBA warning
The IBA has warned the Dutch Boxing Federation that it will have to face "repercussions" if they hold an "unsanctioned international event in Eindhoven"
The International Boxing Association (IBA) has warned the Dutch Boxing Federation that it will have to face "repercussions" if they hold an "unsanctioned international event in Eindhoven".

On Monday (May 22), the IBA suspended the National Federations of New Zealand, Germany, Sweden and The Netherlands for participating in the breakaway governing body World Boxing.
This suspension deprives the National Federations "of all membership benefits, including hosting of international competitions", according to the International Federation.
The IBA has claimed that the Dutch national governing body has "recklessly ignored the regulations" and sent an "official communication" that they will proceed with the event.

The deleting of the tweet shows that Eindhoven cup are starting to panic. Help by spreading the word online.

Where is Imane Khelif? Still hitting women of course.

At this stage I imagine they know full well that Khelif is a male boxer with a DSD.

At this stage I imagine they know full well that Khelif is a male boxer with a DSD.

I think sadly, that they will fall back on denying that they know. They will maybe fall back on not having test results taken to their standards and that they have an inclusive policy anyway.

I think though that this will have to force World Boxing to make their position clear.

viques · 29/05/2025 11:04

Let’s hope it doesn’t take a woman being killed or brain damaged by this man to make the Boxing authorities own up to their dereliction of duty in safeguarding their boxers.

It is turning boxing into a “sport” like bear baiting or cock fighting, with promoters, and unfortunately spectators, looking for blood not skill.

OvaHere · 29/05/2025 11:10

Unbelievable that this is still going on. Everyone is aware of the situation now so they are enthusiastically, knowingly and wilfully putting women at risk.

moto748e · 29/05/2025 13:30

So, this is, in part, a power struggle between the IBA and World Boxing? Sounds a bit to me the IBA might be on its last legs? Vilified for being under Russian control, with shiny new World Boxing set up to replace it. But surely both organisations would find Khelif an embarrassment?

Lovethesparklylights · 29/05/2025 14:14

If I was the parent of a female boxer who was injured by a male, I would sue. I'd take it to court and find out when they were made aware he was male. And what their safeguarding policy was.

TheOtherRaven · 29/05/2025 14:19

This is what happens when the vaccuuous burble on about some men are women.

They're not. None of them are. This is a man who wants to batter women and is being enabled.

here is some of it

“I see myself as a girl just like any other girl,” Khelif said in a recent interview. “I was born a girl, raised as a girl, and have lived my entire life as one.”
The 26-year-old has enlisted Kotinos, a Qatari PR company, to reinforce this message. Ahead of the planned Eindhoven comeback, they posted on Instagram: “When Imane lands a hit, enemy egos are sent straight to the graveyard.”

"Khelif’s defiance creates major potential problems for World Boxing, which has been provisionally approved by the International Olympic Committee to run the sport at the next Games."

"In February, the organisation promised to create a “fair playing field” for women, insisting that safety was “absolutely paramount”. But even though several opponents have complained that Khelif has immutable physiological advantages, with Mexico’s Brianda Tamara saying after a 2022 bout that she had “never felt like that in my 13 years as a boxer, even in my sparring with men”, Boris van der Vorst, World Boxing’s president, has still taken no action to ban the fighter from the female category."

and

"Women’s rights groups are already arranging protests in Eindhoven to condemn Khelif’s involvement. But Eric van den Heuvel, a tournament official, was unrepentant. “She is allowed to box by the IOC,” he told De Telegraaf. “Who are we to say, ‘You are not allowed to participate’? Too bad it is mainly about her. Many more great boxing champions from strong countries come to our event.”

"Van der Vorst said: “We realise that this is a complicated and sensitive issue. We want to deal carefully with both the athletes who are personally affected and with the emotions of the people who have clear opinions about this. We expect to be able to provide more clarity soon.”

I don't hold out much hope for 'clarity' then.

He wears a male boxer,'s groin protector - there are photos. The protectors worn female boxers are a different shape, for very good anatomical reasons.
