I couldn’t see this had been posted already. From the Telegraph with an interview with a detransitioner. Some of these patients were just so, so young.

Men and women are strongly advised by the NHS to wait until after the age of 30 for sterilisation, as they're much more likely to regret it before that age.

Want your penis chopped off and testes removed? Absolutely. Only 17? No problem, just wait a few months and we will sort it for you. It'll likely to lead to a lifetime of issues and you'll definitely be infertile, but .....trans

It's fucking outrageous.

I am 32 and I have wanted to be one and done since I was 23 years old (married at 22 and dh and i have been agreement on this for years). I asked my GP if there was a possibility of tubal ligation during an elective c section should I choose a c section and was told that I should wait until I had 3 children and i might change my mind in my 40s. IBearing in mind I struggled with fertility for 9 years so not sure I have the highest chance of spontaneous conception at 42.

In the end dh did a vasectomy and was 2 months shy of 35 when he did it. But I felt like the nhs didn't trust me to make my own choices.

How long are women having to wait for reconstructive surgery after breast cancer?

Just seen this on another thread

I have one breast literally double the size of the other one due to breast cancer and was offered an operation two years ago to even them up. I accepted eagerly and was then told there was a risk of infection and referred to the prosthesis clinic, which I declined having managed for 16 years with one breast double the size of the other. I went to a GP to ask for the operation and was referred but have heard nothing since, so I take that as a no

Agree
It seems the nhs deem women incapable of their own minds
The nhs is a disgrace when it comes to treating women
