Just watched KJK talking about all things trans on a Tanya De Grunwald podcast ( great podcast) - she says she is banned from mumsnet? I just wondered why she was banned.

it was when that man michael was heading up the modding team too. he really did seem to believe that women not being naice were letting themselves down, mumsnet down and their country down. it really did show in the modding style at that point. he simply couldn't get his head around women being forthright.

Deffo. Dark, and very dreary days

I see the guilt by alignment card has been played early on. Good to get it out early.

The minute I see the word 'aligned' I cease to read a word more, or to take that poster remotely seriously.

It's the laziest possible shortcut to thinking.

I disagree with her on a few things, and agree strongly on others, but by fuck has she got her finger on the pulse with 'Let women speak'. It's such a simple concept. Any woman can speak and the absolute fury that brings is a great shining spotlight on what has gone wrong.

100%

There was a time when any suggestions around trans ideology and safeguarding, especially child safeguarding, was deleted pretty quickly.

And because there are a lot of safeguarding compromises in gender ideology, a lot of women ended up with a lot of deletions. Then mn banned posters for having multiple deleted post.

Some people want to dismiss safeguarding as an 'ism' and use gender ideology in the same way.

i agree with this. There was a time on here with daily roll calls to see who had survived banning because so many were at the precipice on number of deleted posts.

She’s quite far right Christian aligned as well as being GC. Not the best advert for the cause of feminism!

To be fair, she very explicitly says that she is not a "feminist".

As someone who has doggedly clung to the purist definition of feminism as meaning simply, "an advocate for the equal rights of women," (acknowledging that reasonable people may differ re the details of what entails) I would probably beg to differ, but it sounds like it implies more than that to her.

For my part, I welcome anyone from anywhere along the political spectrum throwing their weight behind basic reality.

Honestly those with a vested interest in all this would use absolutely anything to try to discredit the arguments and there is no way to remain "pure" enough as a 'movement' to avoid that. You're better off being able to point out that the very reason people with such wildly differing political opinions, or backgrounds, agree on this is because it has nothing to do with politics at all but is simply a statement of the bleeding obvious.

It's not just about being there, it's about being happy for right wing gobshites to verbally and publicly support her.

If the likes of Katie Hopkins posted on X in support of me doing literally anything I'd tell her to fuck right off.

KJK is more than happy to take their support, however.

What anyone makes of that is their own to decide.

I've decided she's a twat.

It's really that simple.

I'm sure that your mum will give you a nice cup of tea and a biscuit if you ask her nicely and then you can calm down.

Fundamentally religious people of all faiths are often extremely un-feminist. I would say that about any of them.

Did you miss the bit where she said …she’s atheist? But go on keep banging the drum that she’s a conservative Christian… except the only evidence given on this thread says the polar opposite.
I am not a fan of her but I’m so bloody sick of accusations and allegations without evidence. Moira deeming just won her defamation case because a senior politician thought he could accuse her of being nazi aligned because they physically occupied the same public space briefly, and what she herself has thought and said is irrelevant to the iudgement. When anyone these days says ‘she has faced criticism relating to allegations of…. ‘ I think what a load of hot air with zero facts. This thread of full of pretty rational hard boiled women, bring facts. Maybe you’re right- if so, show us. (You were completely wrong about Christian though)

Go on then. Say which fundamentally religious people of other faiths are extremely "un-feminist".
And you can't cop out by naming religions like Amish, Mormons,JW etc.
Name all of them.

So if you spoke out against child abuse, and Katie Hopkins agreed and did too, you’d then disagree and tell her to fuck off?

Or would you just still go about your business being against child abuse?

There is a significant group on the left who seem to have very litttle interest in concrete political action.

People like this would rather get nothing done rather than work with a group they disagree with on significant things to acomplish a shared goal.

It's like a bunch of leftist women refusing to support an effective campaign to set up a network to support victims of DV with housing supports because it was started by conservatives.

So often “far right” appears to be anyone not left of Trotsky.

Oh come on! It's a bit of a stretch to call Trotsky far left!

I mean, he wasn't as bad as Stalin, or Pol Pot, FGS!

I'm sorry that you were subjected to such a horror show. Hopefully, it can't happen to you, or anyone else, in future.

Edited

Every time I see posts making the childish and ludicrous claim that no one who has disagreeable views can declare they support a particular campaign or campaigner otherwise that campaign/er is tainted, I find it hard to believe they operate in the real world. And the current world.

How do they think people get things achieved with governments of the day? That they would allow female people to suffer harm rather than work with people who may have repugnant views on other topics except the campaign sounds like zealotry. And the very opposite to feminist.

However, what I really think it is that they simply lack any ability to understand human nature. And lack the depth of knowledge to have any confidence in their own judgement.

The fact is that many of the accusations mentioned on this thread so far have been debunked in a court of law as having no foundation. A fact that seems to have passed them by.

One accusation seemed totally fucking made up!

But that didn’t stop the accuser, they doubled down. To me, that is a sign of an abuser. Yet they believed they are righteous.

Superhansrantowindsor · 19/05/2025 06:48

I can’t think of anyone, even DH, who agrees with me on everything. I can’t stand this collective group think mentality.

Weird angry response. Who is it you’d like me to list?

Most religion is patriarchal and religion itself is the reason most wars have stared in the world - so to be honest I’d include pretty much all of them.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 19/05/2025 07:53

religion itself is the reason most wars have started in the world

that seems a little oversimplified. Have you been researching your homework on Wikipedia again?

Hurray! Transactivist reasoning at its finest. I hear her hairdresser’s aunt’s neighbour’s poodle once sniffed the bum of a dog belonging to Tommy Robinson too.

What about world wars one and two? No religion involved, same god being invoked by most combatants. Surely most wars in history have been about grabbing or defending land?

Where would Women's Rights now stand if we were relying on the Left to defend them?
We'd be s**D.
But I suppose that we'd have the benefit of knowing we'd been s*d by ideologically pure people.

I agree with this, and with Hellof above.

It reminds me of primary school: “I’m not playing with you because you played with Susie and she played with Danny who is wicked because he stamped in a puddle and splashed me!”

I’ve started to understand, in the past few years and very late in life, why the left never gets anywhere.

I literally know left wing activists, some quite well known in their sphere, who have gone around telling people not to speak to me because I have the wrong friends.

Some of these people will never see 60 again. I am still amazed at how they have managed to collect PhDs and publish books while having the mentality of toddlers.

Glinner tweet:
"They're fighting the men who killed little girls in Manchester, concert goers in Paris, thousands on 9/11 and countless numbers of their own people. Israel is fighting for all of us."

I know that this isn't really connected to KJK, but there is a correlation between Islamophobia and the far right, and I find the above tweet disgusting for many reasons.

More than half the population support Israel and Glinner is entitled to his opinion on this.
Glinner has only recently started talking about other views and has been a single issue poster for years.
Posters from the Left seem to expect a 'package' of views and if you deviate from one view you are expelled, this has been terrible for GC women, the Left needs to become a broader church.
