People affected are not forgotten, and they are not ‘trans’ or ‘intersex’. Nor should their condition be hijacked to pretend that sex is on a spectrum.

The term 'intersex' is outdated and misleading. You mean disorders of sexual development (DSD).

The universal, biological definition (UBD) of sex is completely logical and works across plant and animals, including sequential hermaphrodites (for example, the much touted 'sex-changing' clownfish - just think about how we know that they have changed sex) and simultaneous hermaphrodites that produce both gametes at the same time.

No. Having ovaries or testes allows your body to be categorised into one or the other sex.

With modern technology, this is quite reliable to test for now. And your ovaries or testes do not have to be working to make a diagnosis.
