This isn’t good news is it?

CervixSampler · 29/04/2025 10:04

I like the “nonsense of two sexes at once” part because it is correct that nobody can be two sexes at once. You are either one or the other. The former judge has a birth certificate saying Female which is incorrect as it should say Male. I don’t think that changing sex on documents should be permitted because it is a lie and adds to perceived confusion.

They seem not to care about the gender fluid crew. What a bigot.

Overturning a unanimous SC position will never happen internally and the ECHR overturning it would be political suicide for labour, even if they are dead men walking, so don't worry overly.

Cailin66 · 29/04/2025 10:12

That Judge states they are

  • a woman for all purposes in law

That’s untrue in the UK though. Because anyone born female cannot inherit their fathers title (Earl etc) and there fore trans women can inherit their fathers title where trans men cannot. I’m certain that judge knows that.

NextRinny · 29/04/2025 10:14

Hmm I wonder if this ex judge knows those born female are allowed to gather as a group...

Basic, fundamental, human right.

Comtesse · 29/04/2025 10:15

Good luck with that, matey.

CrocsNotDocs · 29/04/2025 10:16

Ah it’s him again.

Thank you. Grateful for this forum with knowledgeable people on the subject because I do actually worry about all this. I’ve just yesterday got the courage up to challenge my dc school on something related to this which I probably wouldn’t have pre ruling!

RipleyJones · 29/04/2025 10:17

Male judge wearing female face having tantrum because better judges than him actually do understand the EA.

frenchnoodle · 29/04/2025 10:17

Let it happen. It'll be a fun one to see.

well done for standing up and being counted. It's only the noisy minority making it seem as if everyone suddenly thinks black is white. Writing letters to school got a lot easier to do with AI tools to keep you sounding formal and polite! I just wrote to my school to ask them if they were going to abide with the EHCR guidance and if not, had they told their insurers? Will shake them up...

RoastOrMash · 29/04/2025 10:20

I think that article should say why Prof Whittle and Judge McCloud were refused application to intervene. From memory one of them live(d/s) abroad so wasn't valid to intervene, and the other was judged nothing useful to add on top of what parties to the case were already saying. Can anyone remember/got a source?
I think Judge McCloud was the abroad one...

I think this is very good news. Make the argument. Lose. It's done. And noone can say trans people didn't have their say.

I'm not naive enough to think that it would actually be the end of it as there's always be something to gripe about but it would shut off a few objections.

Chersfrozenface · 29/04/2025 10:21

Is the ex-judge of the same persuasion as the Kimono'd Vulpicide and RM White?

I.e. nominally trained in the law but often, er, misinformed about its realities?

Kinsters · 29/04/2025 10:22

I asked this question on this forum and someone shared this thread on twitter which answers it.

Edit: I meant to quote @RoastOrMash

lcakethereforeIam · 29/04/2025 10:22

I thought the judge was excluded as the judge doesn't live in the UK. The trans organisations could have asked to be able to participate, they chose not to. I hope the judge will ask them why that was and publicise their replies. Also, putting aside that the trans argument was put by Amnesty International and ScotGov (paid from the bottomless pockets of British, mostly Scottish, taxpayers), the legal bod working for AI is trans.

I didn't read any of that in the BBC's pity me article. They should be ashamed. Is the judge claiming to be intersex?

CharlestheBold · 29/04/2025 10:23

Whaddya mean bigot? You can dress up id frilly stuff and pretend as much as you like, nobody is stopping you. But. You cant be Fluid on SEX.

Good for you. Please come back and let us know what they say! I’d be very interested to read a thread on here for people sharing their experiences of speaking up.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 29/04/2025 10:25

McCloud apparently lives in ROI.

Justme56 · 29/04/2025 10:26

I have female anatomy??

MarieDeGournay · 29/04/2025 10:27

When I saw 'trans former judge' I momentarily expected something like - see below😂

The irony is off the scale, isn't it - decrying the 'nonsense' of being two sexes at once when for years we've been pointing out the nonsense of a legal fiction which says that a biological male, like VMcC, can also be a legal female.

And the claim that it is dangerous for 'women' like VMcC to have to use a toilet which is also used by biological males - of course VMcC means 'women' like him being forced to use the men's toilet, ignoring the obvious similarity with our objections to women being forced to use a toilet which is also used by biological males like VMcC.Confused

It's all so nonsensical, delivered no doubt with the sad face and quivery voice which seems to be the hallmark of the TWAW lobby these days.

Trans former judge to take government to ECHR
RoastOrMash · 29/04/2025 10:30

Positive from the article though:
'Since then, interim guidance says in places like hospitals, shops and restaurants, "trans women (biological men) should not be permitted to use the women's facilities". ' - that's what Justin Web was disciplined for right? Progress!

Thanks for the Peter Daly link @Kinsters :-)
